I have no idea. But I wouldn't think so. I wouldn't.

Re: MS email (i.e. Outlook.com, Hotmail.com etc) may be inaccessible to users
fwiw, I have 2 outlook accounts in PP and have seen no issues, though my computer was not on overnight until ~5:30am PDT. I just tried logging directly into one via outlook.com and it's accessible. The outage is making the headlines, though. However, I see some recent comments on downdetector that i...

Re: Flawless PopPeeper in Linux
Ok, I decided to see what I could see. The preliminaries: - My old VM for Linux was apparently too old (Mint 20) and I couldn't update anything nor install Wine. - Downloaded and tried to install the latest Mint (22?). After trying multiple times, it was a failure and I gave up. - Downloaded and ins...

Re: Flawless PopPeeper in Linux
What I mean is the "Windows" component of WINE (as opposed to settings that are native to linux). It's been a very long time since I've opened linux and even longer since I played with WINE, but you should be able to access the same "internet options" in linux/wine that native-Wi...

Re: Flawless PopPeeper in Linux
I can't provide specific instructions, but I can tell you what is the most likely setting that you'll need to figure out how to enable for linux. In the (Windows) "Internet Options" (Control Panel / Network and Internet / Internet Options) Go to the "Advanced" page Scroll to the ...

Re: Too Many Requests | Microsoft Accounts Oauth2 Error
I'm glad to hear you've found a work-around. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/how-to-fix-too-many-requests-when-i-want-to-log-in/2e199132-9acf-43cb-8d1b-f067c3cad4ad The recommended solution is to add another method of security verification; the MS agent specifically mention...

Re: Outlook OAUTH issues
I'm fairly confident that the location of the ini file was at least mostly the issue. PP needs to save oauth2 data when it's re-oauth'd and since it couldn't do that, it was reverting to already-expired data when PP restarted. Your other oauth2 accounts -- gmail -- probably hadn't expired (yet), so ...

Re: Outlook OAUTH issues
Are you saying that you had to re-oauth *1* time or *2* times after fixing things? It would make sense that you'd have to re-oauth ONCE after fixing it, because the data in the file is still expired and then after you re-oauth it could now be properly saved. If you're saying you did have to do it tw...

Re: Outlook OAUTH issues
Did you test that changes you make are being saved? Based on this: Ini file: C:\Program Files (x86)\POP Peeper\poppeeper.ini I'm presuming changes would not be saved because POP Peeper cannot write to files in the "Program Files" folder. Therefore, POP Peeper can update your Oauth2 values ...

Re: Outlook OAUTH issues
Do you get a warning in the error dialog that your ini file is read-only (or something similar to that effect)? Even if not, you may want to check if changes you make are being saved: change something noticeable -- such as the main window position/size -- then exit/restart POP Peeper and see if that...

Re: Moved to Folders
While v6 will provide a "better" way to do what you're looking for, there is a way to do what you want in v5: 1) Enable "Advanced options" if not already enabled (main menu: Tools / Options / General) 2) Edit the account for your folder 3) Select the "Advanced" page 4) ...

Re: Moved to Folders
Brianwuz -- The previously provided link tells you how to create a new account that accesses the folder. Once created, that folder behaves just like every other account in POP Peeper, meaning it will retrieve the messages for that folder. As mjs pointed out, the next checkmail will retrieve the mess...

Re: change read to unread in IMAP GMail
Ok, that's what I thought. With that option disabled, the messages get implicitly marked as read when PP retrieves them, but then you don't have any way to mark them as unread after that. With it enabled, you'll be able to explicitly mark messages as unread/read (and messages are not implicitly mark...

Re: change read to unread in IMAP GMail
I just did a very quick test and, after enabling that option, I opened a message and confirmed that PP does not contact the server to tell it that the message has been read. I suspect you may have another setting causing a conflict. What's your setting for the following: main menu: Tools / PPtweaker...

Re: change read to unread in IMAP GMail
The technique that I personally use when I need to remind myself that the message still needs replying to is to mark the message as unread; the same technique should work for you even using a separate email client. That being said, PP has an option that may be right up your alley: PP main menu: Tool...

Re: Outlook OAUTH issues
It seems like a connection problem to me, but I'm not sure why it would be specific to the Outlook oauth2 server, especially if you have another device that it works with (and is presumably on the same internet connection). One thing that may or may not help is to try to ping the microsoft server an...
