I notice that after I upgraded to version 4 a new data folder with a name ending -v3 appeared alongside my POP Peeper data. I get the impression POP Peeper doesn't use it. What exactly is the -v3 folder and do I need to keep it for any reason?

POP Peeper's AntiJunk filters are very non-aggressive by default. Meaning, PP doesn't actually do anything to the messages, it simply filters them so that they're not displayed in the message list.
