Re: Yahoo mail enables free IMAP
JRF, I said I had not tested TLS and port 587. I just tested sending from POP Peeper: TLS/587 or 465 or 25 do not work. Only combo that works is SSL and port 465.

Re: Yahoo Mail enabled free POP3/SMTP service
Has more users gotten the free POP3 access for their Yahoo.com accounts? (I specified Yahoo.com because I know many countries other than US already has free POP3 access.) I use Windows XP SP3. When I originally posted. I could use POP3 on port 110 and no SSL. I cannot do that now. I can use the foll...

Re: One of the Best Free Email Services - Yahoo Mail
Iwc, I know that Gmail has a lab that can kinda simulate how IMAP is normally implemented. I have one set up. But the change require several steps, not a one button implementation. Yahoo IMAP feature is nice. I have to test how reliable it is. I just went on Yahoo webmail, as it has several nice fea...

Re: One of the Best Free Email Services - Yahoo Mail
Jeff, I did not know if Yahoo had IMAP access. Yes, Yahoo having IMAP would sway me. I do not like one aspect of Gmail implementation of IMAP, delete key archives the message instead of deleting it. I'll test it out.

Re: One of the Best Free Email Services - Yahoo Mail
I am liking Gmail more and more, and have recently surpass Yahoo as my best service. I use Gmail lots more than Yahoo. Gmail has become more stable and added many features. They are listening to users more, as shown by allowing option to disable conversation view. There are fewer POP3 and IMAP error...

Re: Gmail Conversation View
Steve, I like the conversation view, or at least I got use to it. I have it turned off for now to see how it works for me. Probably will turn it back on later. For mobile user, only those users who can open full Gmail interface in a web browser has the option to turn off conversation view. Those usi...

Mine is working also. If it wasn't for the message of closure from mail.com, I would not have worry about this glitch.

Re: Mail.com to end free POP3 and IMAP accesses
My one mail.org account do not work either, but I assume it is a temporary service fault and not a purposeful shutdown of POP3 and IMAP accesses so soon.

Re: Mail.com to end free POP3 and IMAP accesses
I have GMX.com service, and it has lots of features in the web interface, and free POP3 and IMAP. But GMX.net is closed to users outside of Germany. So we'll see where mail.com gets migrated to.

Re: Yahoo Mail enabled free POP3/SMTP service
You need to enable POP3 in Yahoo Options settings. Then POP3/SMTP will work.
If you have already done that, can you access Yahoo via your email client, like Outlook or Thunderbird?
