Re: Pop Peeper keeps losing track of email accounts
If the idea is have an easily accessed and copied full backup of an email app (including the main program .exe file + data), then being able to create a dedicated "C:/POP Peeper" folder for that purpose seems to me to be the best alternative, compared to the current options. The issue I've...

Re: Pop Peeper keeps losing track of email accounts
OK, thanks. However, it seems a bit illogical to be offered the choice of the data location in the initial setup, only to later be confronted with disappearing email accounts. Instead of offering C:/Program Files (x86)/ as a data location, maybe consider changing it to it's own dedicated folder: C:/...

Pop Peeper keeps losing track of email accounts
Hello, There seems to be a new issue of Pop Peeper losing track of email accounts upon shut down or system re-boot. The account will simply disappear. Could be related to picking the alternate location of C:/Program Files (x86)/POP Peeper/ as the data storage location? The installation of Windows be...

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
Have you observed the messages in this account changing back to "read" (unbolded) on there own? No, the unbolded status never changes back to bolded. To clarify (because I'm confused by the last comment), you have said that the POP Peeper Inbox has the message as bolded (unread), so you h...

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
Have you observed the messages in this account changing back to "read" (unbolded) on there own? The unbolded status never changes back to bolded. If an email is read via web browser, the staus changes correctly (still via web browser) from unread to read. However, PP is failing to show th...

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
At the moment, I'm getting the yellow bang error for Hotmail: send. Outlook.com emails are okay, for now: no yellow bang errors there. The header in PP still IS bolded (not read), while via the web browser is NOT bolded (read). I haven't yet double-clicked, to open and read the email from within PP....

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
Another instance of "Read" vs. "Not Read": a Hotmail.com email was initially opened and read via a web browser. Afterwards, in Pop Peeper, the email header was again bolded to indicate "Not Read". Shouldn't PopPeeper then show it to be: unbolded, to indicate that it was...

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
Another data point to consider: I've been getting some recent new emails via IMAP PopPeeper (4.3) & Outlook.com that indicate that they've already been viewed, even though they have NOT been previously viewed, either via web browser or by any other means.

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
the MS Outlook.com IMAP Servers are now doing a better job in your area I am in Hong Kong, China, while rvail317, whose POP Peeper shows errors, should be elsewhere. It goes to show that the problem lies in servers rather than POP Peeper. Then explain why?: Thunderbird can use IMAP without any erro...

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
Tried outlook.com email via Thunderbird (current build v. 52.0) vs. PopPeeper (current build 4.3). Thunderbird email seems to be working okay (IMAP); PopPeeper shows errors with both Hotmail.com & Outlook.com (IMAP) accounts: --- Version --- OS: Windows 10 (x64) POP Peeper: 4.3.0.0 Webmail: 4.3....

Re: Hotmail: Errors Retrieving Messages
I'm seeing the same type of errors with Hotmail & Outlook accounts. Reading this thread, I noticed that the SSL plugin that I was using was outdated, instead of having auto-updated to the latest: 1.0.2.10. So: after manually updating SSL, the errors related to Hotmail & Outlook seem to have ...

Hotmail times out
Hello. After updating to PP 4.3 today, I'm now getting a timeout error with the Hotmail account. PP 4.2 was working normally, before updating to version 4.3. At the same time, my outlook.com email account (within PP) is error free. Accessed via web browser still works OK for both accounts. --- Versi...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
OK, problem fixed. The Temp folder needed to be re-allowed access via clicking "Continue" button, after running %temp% per your instructions. For convenience, I had changed the Temp folder location to C:\Windows\Temp and the folder permissions had evidently failed to transfer correctly dur...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
Re: "All your accounts/etc. were still there after the Windows-upgrade, right?" Yes. Re: "Try exiting PP and restarting it with Admin privileges" OK, that did serve to correct the error. As far as the .ini file used as a data backup: maybe include that specifically as an official...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
The cure for that same problem (a post by me dated from 2013, if I recall) at the time was: required a complete re-format and re-install of Windows 7. PopPeeper is the ONLY program that gives the same "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error. Note: on a fresh install of Windows 10 (...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
No, the error occurs immediately when attempting to view the email itself, not when clicking a link within an email. That function operates normally. As far as the the setting "Force POP Peeper to open links in your external browser instead of internal browser" checked (enabled).": th...

"Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
"Navigation to the web page was canceled" error, when attempting to view any particular email. The specific IMAP email server makes no difference: hotmail, yahoo, & outlook. This error re-occurs after PopPeeper 4.1.1.0 is shut down completely, such as a system re-boot. The only cure is...
