How come before 4.0.1 is was working well while in the program files? And now not?

Jeff, I've checked the webmail and it is working with no problem. I don't have 2 step verification. In fact, it is more strange, cause even if I'm changing to POP3 and all is working, the next time I restart my computer it returns to GMAIL. It doesn't save the settings or the password after restart....
