Messages on server but PopPeeper isn 't downloading them
I'm a long time user of Pop Peeper. This may have happened before but I don't remember. There are messages on the server (because I've looked) but Pop Peeper is not downloading them. When I try to log in, there is a several second sequence which I don't normally see while Pop Peeper is "logging...

Re: Retrieve deleted messages?
Sorry, my last is not how my account is currently set up. It's currently setup as a POP account. I'll experiment with the setting shown in the attachment.

Re: Retrieve deleted messages?
I've attached what I believe are my Cox settings for this account. Looks like I'm already set up on IMAP.

Re: Retrieve deleted messages?
I did one last check with my webmail open and PopPeeper open right next to it and can now report that when PopPeeper deletes mail using this account, it never reaches the Trash folder. It is instantly eliminated completely. I don't know if this is something I can check out with my service provider o...

Re: Retrieve deleted messages?
Thanks for the tips. I use a local cable/internet service provider called Cox Communications (they are at several locations across the country). I looked into my Trash folder there yesterday and it was empty. I didn't explore further but will copy the info from your responses to see if there is any ...

Retrieve deleted messages?
This hasn't happened in a long time but I've deleted a message I shouldn't have in the Pop Peeper window. Is there any way to retrieve it? Maybe on the mail server?
Thanks, Bill Dinger

Re: Mail check has slowed to a crawl
Okay, thanks for additional info. Steps taken so far have made a big difference. I think we can close this topic down for now.

Re: Mail check has slowed to a crawl
I activated the advanced options and here is what it said: [All accounts] Messages: 0 Server size: 0 KB Mem size: 0 KB File size: 0 KB Last DB Maint (global): 12/07/19 10:47:55 (56 days) So I don't know if maintenance needs to be done or what. On the website, it doesn't mention anything about a V5. ...

Re: Mail check has slowed to a crawl
Yes, I think I'm going to give the refresh of the fixes from 2017 a chance to work. At some point, I might want to activate the DNS and URI again. It could be all those flushes and resets from the command prompt did some good. It's working pretty fast now but then there's not much mail that has accu...

Re: Mail check has slowed to a crawl
Re: Pete - I went through all the exercises from 2017 and we'll see if that does the trick. I am using Windows 10 now instead of Win 7. Re: laksrool - I am unable to find "server info (all)" as a choice no matter where I right click and I've tried pretty much tried everywhere. As far as er...

Mail check has slowed to a crawl
This is my second attempt to post this subject. I didn't see the first one so I'm posting again.
Not sure if something needs to be cleaned out or what the problem is. It's been going on for one to two months. My version is Pop Peeper Pro 4.5.3
Thanks,

Re: Pop Peeper not "seeing" spam on server
Thanks everyone for your thorough help on my subject. Right now, I'm not getting anything more from .ooo or .online. Hopefully, that will continue.

Re: Pop Peeper not "seeing" spam on server
Unfortunately, attaching an image seems to be tied into somehow it having a url associated with it. When I "Add File", it does list the file but over on the right hand side under "Status", it says "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify t...

Okay, so now the same spam is coming from ".online" address. Please see attached jpg for my rule. Does this look right?

Re: Pop Peeper not "seeing" spam on server
The solution posted by Jeff has apparently worked for the .ooo spam address problem. This morning the same people used a different address (the three symbols behind the period) so I'm thinking I can just substitute those letters into the formula Jeff created in order to create a new rule. I'm not wo...

Pop Peeper not "seeing" spam on server
I have begun receiving emails with this address - *.ooo. The first part could be anything but the last part is always .ooo. At first, Pop Peeper would show me these on the server. I wanted to create a rule for them but couldn't figure out how to do that. Now several of these slip through every day a...

Re: Using Subject line as a screen for junk
I'm seeing "hide" is not working in my other new rule either. See attachments.
Hope we can fix this. It is not sufficient to have these emails marked for removal. I don't want to ever see them.
