Erm... I might be using BCC... or not.... as I have no idea what it is

Hi - many thanks for that. The suggestion re hidden emails worked. What was happening is where I'd sent a copy of an email to myself for reference, PP was keeping it hidden - I got a notification I'd received hit, but no email. Likewise. Loads of different messages. Timed out, SSL connection, not authorised in current state, you name it I get it.
