I'm guessing the update I was alerted to and carried out this morning doesn't count as the next release because, just fyi, some links still open in POP Peeper's own window.

Re: Opening links in external browser

It's true it doesn't do it with all messages viewed in HTML. It used to work 'properly' with the emails from these people (I have an old one which now definitely behaves differently with the new version of PopPeeper v the last version). Would it be worth forwarding the email to yourself? If so could...

Opening links in external browser

Just upgraded to 5.4.1 Now when clicking a link after View HTML , the link has started opening in PopPeeper's internal browser (well, in the same window the message was in) instead my default external browser even though I ensured that PpTweaker 's Force POP Peeper to open links in your external bro...

Re: Multiple message windows

I'm guessing you have already reviewed the info in the following Sticky topic: https://www.esumsoft.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6796 This was the problem: having started the thread I'd assumed I'd be subscribed and thought I'd confirmed it with this: 2020-11-14_131911.png where I thought (wr...

Re: Multiple message windows

I'm not getting email notification even though subscribed to this thread and both the 'Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed ' checkboxes (Notifications and Email) are ticked, and my email address is correct so forgive the long pauses between my replies.

Re: Multiple message windows

No, I don't want tabs, just that closing a modeless window of the app brings that app back to the fore.

Re: Multiple message windows

p45cal - keep in mind that PP has an option to "Close all message windows" under the "Messages" options of the main PP menu window - which makes it easy to close all open message windows with just one click . I didn't know this, thanks, however, normally, should I open 2 ...

Re: Multiple message windows

If you click on a link from POP Peeper, and then close that browser window (or even minimize it), you will get the behavior you're expecting. Actually, this is true, but I'm not really expecting that sort of change.(In fact, I rarely minimise or close the browser completely, I only close a tab of t...

Re: Multiple message windows

but the question is how it should be implemented. Should it restore PP even if it's minimized (to the tray and/or the taskbar)? If there are multiple view-message windows open, should it instead open one of those? etc. My thought behind this was only to make it behave more intuitively, or 'as expec...

Re: Multiple message windows

While this may be the normal behaviour for Windows, I tried it with Windows Explorer (file explorer) windows and it is as you say, but with multiple different Excel files being open, when I close one (just by clicking on the top right X of its window pane, without first bringing Excel to the fore) E...

Multiple message windows

With the new ability to have multiple message windows open concurrently, I find it a nuisance when closing one that it doesn't automatically set focus back to the main Pop Peeper application window. Would there be any way of doing that? Perhaps, if it's the only (or last) message window that's open ...

Godiva wrote: Sat Dec 09, 2017 5:09 amI don't see the HTML button in the 'Customize Toolbar' screen, is this new to v4.5? If not, can you help me troubleshoot how to add the button to v4.4.1? I'd rather try it with my current version before upgrading.
I think that menu is available while you're viewing a message.

Re: The "View HTML" banner when reading a message now displays full html (images) when engaged

If you already read the post from lakrsool, please disregard that. Well, it did raise an eyebrow, and it prompted me to do a little research which confirmed: The fact is, what you suspect is possible -- spammers (and newsletters and even regular users) can put "web bugs" (aka web beacons)...

The "View HTML" banner when reading a message now displays full html (images) when engaged

Regarding this update: - The "View HTML" banner when reading a message now displays full html (images) when engaged; this removes the need to double-click twice (except when the message is evaluated as Junk) First, I'm not sure of my facts - so put me right if I'm on the wrong track. One o...
