The only other suggestion I can make is to ensure that the "server requires authentication" is enabled on the edit account/SendMail page in POP Peeper. But "service unavailable" does suggest there's probably something more to it and you could be on the right track regarding locat...

Personally, I prefer to use an authenticator app instead of email/sms verification. It's generally easier overall. What is the specific error that is reported? Gmail sometimes gives a hint in the error.

Otherwise, yes, I would suggest just making another app-specific password. Google won't allow you to see old app-passwords, but I would recommend deleting the old one.

I can't say that I've noticed the "email code" thing either, but it's one of those things you probably don't notice until something else isn't working correctly :) But, as of the next version (v5.4.7/v5.5), POP Peeper will default to using the "web browser" method for Outlook acc...
