My SSL has fallen and can't get up

Actually, my SSL has not only fallen, but disappered! After a 2nd attempt at upgrading correctly to v4.2, I no longer have this feature when checking "About" in PP - completely removed from the list of features. Two of my accounts, Comcast and Gmail, complain about the missing SSL ...

Re: Yahoo errors - Serverbug/Fetch, Limit/Capability

Thanks, Jeff, again for the helpful info.

Thanks to everyone else who contributed a strange and cryptic error from the land of Yahoo. User gordon gets the award for the most unusual and verbose Yahoo-ism! =D>

Re: Yahoo errors - Serverbug/Fetch, Limit/Capability

Jeff - Just when I thought it was safe to get back into the Yahoo waters (meaning the stranded account issues were going down), the sharks would come back and I would have a number of broken & bleeding accounts. Darn sharks! So, I created duplicate accounts as you had suggested (didn't know abou...

Re: Yahoo errors - Serverbug/Fetch, Limit/Capability

Hi lakrsrool - my warnings and messages seem to be somewhat spontaneous, and non-repeatable on demand, if that makes sense. I'm seeing only 1 account with an issue (earlier it was 4) and the SERVERBUG error is now reported as the LIMIT CAPABILITY. :? It morphed! I agree that with time many of ...

Yahoo errors - Serverbug/Fetch, Limit/Capability

Several of my accounts in Yahoo are failing to get thru this morning. The errors are not the same for each account, though. One is reporting "Error ([SERVERBUG] FETCH Server error - Please try later)" and the others are reporting "[LIMIT]CAPABILITY Service is temporarily not a...

Re: Open Links in Firefox Private Window

This had been working for me as well (FF 35.x) and for quite some time up until now, so it was a surprise. I should mention I'm on the latest patch set for Win 8.1, latest Java and Flash (8, upd 31 and 16.0.0.296), clean reboots so everything seems to be running/starting correctly (as it had been). ...

Re: Open Links in Firefox Private Window

This bug / feature may have just come back to roost. I completed an update to 35.0.1 yesterday and now all my email messages (regardless of service: msn or yahoo, etc.) can no longer open links or new windows from the emails. I'm trying to troubleshoot which config entry is causing the problem. :evi...

Re: POP Peeper is compatible with Windows 8?

UPDATE - WIN 8.1 STATUS - Recently installed the upgrade to Win 8.1. It really is a lite update this round, more or less to deal with some of the cosmetic items the whiners have been crying about so I really didn't expect things to explode. *chex off Win 8.1 on to-do list* I'd give it a thumbs up wi...

Re: POP Peeper is compatible with Windows 8?

UPDATE: It took a few stabs to get both my desktop shortcut and my Start icon to look for the INI file in the customized location. I chose to use the -ini option on the command line as you described above. Now both parent (PP) and children (email data, INI file) are doing well in their new home. =D>...

Re: POP Peeper is compatible with Windows 8?

Update and direction / correction. Yes, I am interested in keeping both my INI and data together. Thanks for the tips, I think I'll make a desktop shortcut and use the "-ini" option and see if Win8 plays friendly. I did not use this option in the past under XP (as I didn't k...

Re: POP Peeper is compatible with Windows 8?

Um, I'll take this in pieces. Let's begin. :-) This was a "virgin" install on a Win8 machine. I didn't upgrade or migrate. My first install was on a clean machine/disk by installing the app directly from DL. My data files were always stored in my home account in a sub-dir (Y...

Re: POP Peeper is compatible with Windows 8?

Yes, PP is compatible, but I noticed you can't change the location of your INI file (it's hardwired in the path location box). :!: Don't know if it was that way on Win7 as I never used it on that OS. I wanted the INI file stored somewhere else (as I had done with my previous installation on an XP sy...
