Re: Can't login - outlook / hotmail sending out new terms of service
I have also experienced this problem for the last few days with various Hotmail/Outlook.com accounts. I have had to open the affected account in a browser and acknowledge the terms of service. But, that still doesn't fix Pop Peeper for me. I have to close Pop Peeper, then re-open it for it to work c...

But, I think Jeff should fix this.

Re: Outlook.com/Hotmail Error: Try again later. (-1001)
I might be having a dumb day today, but here is a screenshot of my POP Peeper versions. In particular, Webmail. http://s33.postimg.org/c3ce0h8fj/POP_Peeper_About.jpg The way I understand it is: Current: The version I currently have. Latest: The latest version. Sorry if I have "current" and...

Re: Outlook.com/Hotmail Error: Try again later. (-1001)
Thanks for the tips, lakrsrool.
I still don't understand the versioning number as 4.1 should be higher than 4.0, but I'll update it anyway.

Outlook.com/Hotmail Error: Try again later. (-1001)
I have started getting the following error on all my Outlook.com/Hotmail accounts. I can access them via a browser. Error: Try again later. (-1001) Also. If I go Help > About in POP Peeper, it shows that my current Webmail version is 4.1.0.0, but the latest version is 4.0.26.0. But, isn't 4.0.26.0 e...

Is v4.1.0 available, or is it just a typo?

Mail.com Error
This started happening late last year, but the Forum was closed. I am using Windows 10 (x64) even though the log says Windows 8. --- Version --- OS: Windows 8 (x64) POP Peeper: 4.0.1.0 Webmail: 4.0.25.0 SSL: 1.0.1.8 IMAP: 4.0.1.0 RSS: 4.0.0.0 SendMail: 4.0.1.0 Chime: 3.0.0.0 Notification ScreenSaver...

Re: New Mail Notification Keeps Enabling Itself
Protocol -- does the problem only occur when you restart Windows or also when you start/exit PP? In the procedures we've been using, you should not exit Windows completely; you just need to exit and restart POP Peeper. So, if you: 1) Exit POP Peeper 2) Move the ini file 3) Restart POP Peeper Answer...

Re: New Mail Notification Keeps Enabling Itself
So then to clarify one last time, using Windows Explorer you do not see any "poppeeper" configuration settings file anywhere at all in the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pop Peeper\, even though the Pop Peeper .ini file location path setting does actually display this path in the Pop Peeper...

Re: New Mail Notification Keeps Enabling Itself
Thanks lakrsrool & Jeff. Thanks lakrsrool for the in depth and dumbed down instructions, but I have done all that, but with the same result as previous post. And yes, you are right Jeff. File extensions should be on by default. It is the first thing I turn on after a fresh Windows installa...

Re: New Mail Notification Keeps Enabling Itself
Yes Jeff, I moved the file manually.
It is a simple enough procedure, but the procedure doesn't have the outcome you are expecting, because the path still shows C:\Program Files (x86)\POP Peeper\.

Re: New Mail Notification Keeps Enabling Itself
I did No. 2 2) or, Move the ini file and data folder: - Exit POP Peeper - Move the ini file from: C:\Program Files (x86)\POP Peeper\poppeeper.ini to: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper - Restart POP Peeper - Go to Tools / Options / Storage and delete the value for the data path, this will rese...

I tried doing this, but the poppeeper.ini path won't change from C:\Program Files (x86)\POP Peeper. I am unable to manually change it.Jeff wrote:You'll have to follow the same advice that lakrsrool referred to:

New Mail Notification Keeps Enabling Itself
I disable the New Mail notification in Tools > Options > Notification, but after a computer restart, the setting is enabled again.
Is there some way to make this setting stick?
OS: Windows 10 64-bit.
