Re: SSL issues after 4.4
If you're looking to test a server that needs an exception, try the free gmx.net - both POP and IMAP need an exception. As for "local", as mentioned maybe rename it to "(local)". Without brackets (like now) it implies there's also a remote option. Maybe make PpTweaker's help link...

Re: SSL issues after 4.4
Some things I've noticed: The error message for this issue is cut off in the relevant account's settings: error.png PpTweaker has no help for: What will happen if I turn off "Enable local SSL certificate verification". Will it use a remote verification? If not, maybe it should be rephrased...

How about a 64-bit version of Pop Peeper?
At one time I accidentally put the 64-bit versions of OpenSSL's files in Pop Peeper's folder and PP couldn't use them. It made me realize PP is a 32-bit program. Did you ever think about having a 64-bit PP version? In some compilers it's just a matter of checking an "also compile a 64-bit versi...

Re: See only the last X messages
Thanks. The second suggestion again affects all accounts.
Sometimes the mailbox is just very large to begin with when PP is used, so it would have helped to download only recent messages.

Re: See only the last X messages
When it comes to memory and efficiency, does it still download them or only downloads unread messages?

See only the last X messages
Is there a way to see (via IMAP) not all messages but only up to the last X messages?
If not, please make it possible...
Thanks!

Re: OpenSSL
I've started to successfully use 1.0.2d.
For those who want no dependencies on MS VC++ runtime, I'm talking about openssl-1.0.2d-i386-win32.zip

Re: OpenSSL
OpenSSL was partially breached. Here's the official statement , but you can read about "heartbeat" in the news. I'm happy to report the fixed (i.e. latest) version so far works fine with PP. For those who want no dependencies on MS VC++ runtime, I'm talking about openssl-1.0.1g-i386-win32....

Re: OWA support with PP (via 3rd party utility)
Nice. But is there no way to make it IMAP so it would work naturally with Exchange (as in keep everything in the server)?

That version gave me the same error today. It doesn't happen often, but when it does happen it crashes PP.

I got the random error again! Since it's obviously here to stay, can you please start investigating it?

Re: OpenSSL
Actually, I only got the aforementioned error once and so ended up not downgrading.
I've then started to successfully use 1.0.0c (from the default build made by Win32 OpenSSL v1.0.0c Light).
For those who want no dependencies on MS VC++ runtime, it also works with openssl-1.0.0c-i386-win32.zip

Re: OpenSSL
Well, I've just started to successfully use 1.0.0b (from the "slightly patched" build made by Win32 OpenSSL v1.0.0b Light)...until I got this random crash: openssl1b.jpg I guess it's back to v1.0.0.0a for me. But why is it random? Meanwhile, there's currently no MS VC++ runtime-free version.

But it's just a one time thing. You do it once and then forget about it.war1 wrote:I know that Gmail has a lab that can kinda simulate how IMAP is normally implemented. I have one set up. But the change require several steps, not a one button implementation.

Re: One of the Best Free Email Services - Yahoo Mail
And as for tags, well, let's just say that there's a good chance that PP will use the idea of tags where folders would have once been used. Keep in mind that even before Gmail gave up on forcing conversations (which were only forced in PP's webmail mode anyway), it gave up on forcing tags. That is,...
