I've started to successfully use 0.9.8l (just Google OpenSSL-0.9.8l-Win32.zip).

Is there anything that does use it except Hotmail itself? Being Microsoft, it's got to be a violation for other programs to use it.

Jeff asked for no direct links (I gave enough of a hint to get there). Also, we all know where the official site is.

But is it less secure than the default build because you're limited by your local law?

I use Gmail with SSL.

I didn't supply that link myself because Jeff says he has legal reasons not to include certain Encryption Algorithms.

I guess I won't be moving to Imap in Gmail any time soon, but I will contact them.

Update: I've removed the various contact links that were mentioned here by me because they became dead links over time. Besides, the links actually seemed to have done their job!

Well, I can tell you that if I delete a Gmail message via POP, it's still in the trash. But I guess that's the part where it's the server's responsibility.
