"Set Location" is expected to be empty when you open it.
Try using a different location (e.g. New York or Los Angeles) and see if weather works for that location. Assuming it does, try a location *near* you but not the same.

The SSL update was likely just coincidence, but if you'd like to go back to the previous version you can download it here: https://update.esumsoft.com/POPPeeper/download/ssl/PP_Ssl111u.zip And you can find the installation instructions for manual download here: https://www.esumsoft.com/pop-peeper/pl...

Re: Weather not updating
Just got an email that it should be resolved and it looks like Aeris updated at least 28 minutes ago for me.
And, yes, this was for *current* weather. Forecast/hourly had a separate issue that was resolved yesterday.

Re: Weather not updating
Update: I received a response from NOAA/NWS --
They are aware of the issue; several others have reported the same issue; and they'll send me any updates via email which I will pass on to you here.

Re: Weather not updating
For forecast weather, NWS was reporting the following: "An error occurred. The information you are requesting is unavailable until 01/01/2024 due to a known technical issue." And, sure enough, forecasting did start working on Jan 01. But current weather seems to be stuck on Dec 27. I have ...

Re: Weird PP behavior
error 12029 is a pretty generic error and just means it couldn't connect. In the context of PP it often means that the appropriate TLS settings aren't enabled in Windows Internet Options, but if it subsequently worked, it might mean a hiccup on the server; but combined with your initial report that ...

Since I'm just now getting back and it's been a few days since your last report -- can you let us know if this is still a problem?

Re: I can not get my PoP Peeper to download my emails ?
sportman -- In the screenshot you posted, it looks like the account may not be enabled (it's hard to tell for certain because the "Oauth2" window is partially covering it). So edit the account and make sure that the "enabled" checkbox is checked. Then press "Update" and...

Re: oauth2 problems
Here are a few suggestions: Note that your error suggests you are not using Oauth2, despite the subject of your post. I presume that you have tried Oauth2, but at the time you captured this error, you were trying other things. 1) Try using IMAP instead of POP3 2) To use password method, you must cre...

Try this: In the Windows start menu, type and open: Internet options Select the "Advanced" tab Scroll the list to the very bottom Make sure that "Use TLS 1.2" is enabled On Win11, "Use TLS 1.3" is also enabled; I'm not sure it ever was when I used Win10, but either way,...

Re: Help! Auth2 error on send e-mail
You can double-check that both "email address" and "login name" are correct, they're the same, and they contain the full email address. Other than that, there's not much else that could be setup incorrectly. Email me (support at esumsoft dot com) and we'll get logs. This probably...

Re: Help! Auth2 error on send e-mail
When you return to POP Peeper, do you get an "authentication successful" window? What version of Windows are you using (7/8/10/11/etc)? [edit] One other question while I think about it. If you go to this page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions and make sure you're s...

Re: Help! Auth2 error on send e-mail
1) Please paste the exact error that POP Peeper reports in the error window. 2) Is the error occurring only when you send mail or also when retrieving mail (your original post is a little ambiguous; although my first question is meant to clarify this, too)? 3) Can you clarify this: "when I try ...

If you right-click on a message, select: AntiJunk -> Re-evaluate message The same option is available under the main 'Messages' menu. All selected messages will be re-evaluated. Depending on how many messages you have, you may want to just select a page or two to see how long it takes before doing a...

You can press the "Stop" button -- usually the first button in the main toolbar. If all else fails you can exit and restart POP Peeper.

Re: rambler.ru
Bummer. I had apparently created an account in 2016 (probably the last time I accessed it, too). I just tried logging in via webbrowser and it still recognized my account. It told me I hadn't logged in for over 2 years and so all my email was deleted; tried PP and it failed with the following error:...

Re: rambler.ru
I was hoping I'd found a decent usable free email that doesn't want your phone number to sell and that wouldn't spy on everything you do, but that's a forlorn hope these days. Unfortunately, I think the last remaining choices for email are: - The big 3 (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook; I consider AOL the sam...
