Re: Outlook / Hotmail Account Issues
Followup FYI - I will actually get an empty (Microsoft) dialog as well (see screen-shot below) from time to time exclusively on MSN accounts (Hotmail/Outlook.com etc.) however, others don't seem to get this same result (that I do) for some reason. :? That said, I am always able to complete the Oauth...

Re: Outlook / Hotmail Account Issues
Try clicking on the "Alternate (web browser)" button in the bottom-left area of the above interface (as seen in your posted screen-shot) to see if you are able to complete the Oauth2 process (the remaining dialogs should open in your default browser).

Re: Some issues
What if anything have you changed (i.e. security software updates, settings changes etc.) on your computer as of the time when these issues started? What PP settings have you changed other than what you previously mentioned in your last post (above)? Please post your "Ini location" and &qu...

Re: Outlook / Hotmail Account Issues
For the record, it appears the persistent "Oauth2" error issue (I was getting for two of my MSN accounts) has been resolved . That is, I have tried switching back to using "Oauth2" for my two previously referenced problematic MSN accounts (using the same "Oauth2" drop-d...

Re: Outlook / Hotmail Account Issues
Over the last 8 hours - out of a total of my 19 Microsoft accounts there have been around 7 that have produced "Oauth2" errors (leaving around 12 accounts w/out any issues) - 2 of the 7 accounts with "Oauth2" errors continued to produce errors and therefore required my switching ...

Re: Outlook / Hotmail Account Issues
Welcome to the forum maupassant2, 1. Please explain in more detail what is meant by "it shuts down". 2. What version of PP are you running? 3. What Operating System are you using? 4. To be clear, after getting an "Oauth2" error and then resetting "Oauth2 on your MSN account ...

Re: Outlook / Hotmail Account Issues
Use the "password" method instead of "Oauth2" -- see the details here: https://www.esumsoft.com/news/outlook-smtp-oauth2-error/ . You're not the only one - in the past few minutes (3-4 Microsoft account Oauth2 errors started cropping up in my case), in regards to one specific acc...

Re: Weird characters; need help understand...
To provide more details (as I understand it) - let's just discuss the "?" as you see it (to keep it simple). My understanding is that (Jeff will thankfully correct me if I'm off here :-k), as far what goes on (in the event "unicode" is used) - it is the following that occurs: The...

Re: Weird characters; need help understand...
These messages presumably contain "unicode" of which PP does not support (unicode) at this time (thus, in this case, is currently "unreadable" just as you have suggested). To my knowledge, "unicode" support is currently underway (and I might add, so far, successfully te...

Re: POP Peeper Terminates with C++ Library Error
The test of course is when you enable IDLE/Push (the assumption, as I understand it, is that the IDLE/Push has recently been in some manner contributing to random crashes - of which Jeff has addressed via the v.6 update). The major benefit of using IDLE/Push (assuming this function is supported by t...

Re: POP Peeper Terminates with C++ Library Error
For the record (in my case) - (w/ IDLE/Push enabled entire time) after multiple crashes pre-v.6 the previous (April) month it has now been crash free for over 3 weeks of testing (since 4-26) post-v.6 update.

Re: Delete Tead email
This method would be expected to solve your problem - as IMAP is the preferred protocol as I mentioned previously (that said, in this case the message should still be expected to successfully delete using POP3).acooldozen wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 1:43 pm As soon as I changed over from POP3 to IMAP it FIXED itself. What email service is this specific account (Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook etc)? My local webmail account from local server! You're probably still using the telus.net email service (right?) What protocol ("Server type") are you using for this specific account (IMAP, POP3)? POP3! Is there a reason...

Re: Unhide Passwords
This obviously doesn't answer your question (directly) - I'll leave that to Jeff.
But (just a reminder) you can of course always "reset" your password via the email service assuming your goal is simply to gain access to your email account.
