Re: unable to configure accounts for 'Send'
It sounds like you may have multiple DLLs installed. POP Peeper does not necessarily look for "sendmail.dll" so if you renamed a previous version (e.g. sendmailv381.dll), POP Peeper will still find it, and behavior may be unpredictable. If you need to keep an old copy, you should either mo...

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
Great, thanks Moshe. The domain and site look familiar, so I've probably used their resources a number of times before. I'll look into my issue this weekend.

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
Well, at this point, I've downloaded and installed Win10 in a Virtual Machine. This, at least, allows me to run Win10 release instead of the Preview I had been using. However... it surprisingly allowed me to install and run Win10 without even entering a license key (I've noticed some things are disa...

Re: Saving a draft will show success in statusbar
It's in the statusbar of the compose window (you may, perhaps, be looking for it in the main window's status bar?). It's only displayed for a few seconds and then it disappears. Press the 'draft' button and look for it then, so you know where/what to look for.

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
Ah, so there really *is* a conspiracy against me; good to know. Not sure what drivers I would have that might cause a problem; the only things I can think of are my motherboard drivers and a usb tv tuner (which is old and I doubt will be getting any updates anyway). I wonder if there's a way to find...

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
To be honest, I hadn't bothered to look into why I hadn't gotten the update yet as I'm really not really looking forward to upgrading anyway :) I didn't reserve Win10 until pretty late, so I'm guessing that's why I'm farther down in the queue. I suppose a driver incompatibility could be a possibilit...

Re: Accounts Disappeared
Just FYI, since it sounds like you've got it working now: if you changed the data path before moving the ini file, it wouldn't have saved that information in the ini file because it was write-protected (as that's the main problem you had in the first place) and so it was still using the "data&q...

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
Microsoft has left IE compatibility in Win10. I *still* only have the tech preview (am I the only one with Win10 reserved but still waiting?), where it's called Project Spartan instead of Edge, but one of the options available is to open the current web page in IE. But I digress... One of the featur...

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
Ok, the problem has been found and fixed. As expected, it was due to a bug when the mailbox is empty -- there was an ever-so subtle change in the code for the new imap efficiency that caused it to work slightly different and prevent the clearing of any pre-existing messages. I'm going to wait a few ...

Re: Thank you for PP v4.1.0.2003
Ok, at first, I thought you two were conspiring against me to prove my insanity, but I eventually got it to duplicate the problem. There were 2 other points that caused my "it works for me", so I'm going to revise the procedure: ** Disable IDLE (for some reason, an account connected via ID...

Re: PP 4.0.1 does not remember Last save dir
Froulik -- glad that did the trick. I have an unrelated question based on something that you mentioned. Had you disabled POP Peeper from saving message data? That is, under the main menu: Tools / Options / Storage; is your "Storage" option set to "none" (as opposed to headers or ...

Re: color background on open message
Try exiting and restarting POP Peeper, and reboot Windows if the first doesn't work.
If that doesn't work, I'd like to see a screenshot, too, as POP Peeper doesn't provide a way to change the background color of an opened message so seeing it in context may help.

Make sure that you have POP Peeper v4.0.1 AND Webmail v4.0.18. WebMail v4.0.18 was released on Aug 6 to fix the problem with Hotmail accounts returning 0 messages. First upgrade to POP Peeper v4 . Then, go to Help / About and it may not have updated WebMail v4.0.18 yet, so do the following: - Make s...

Re: Make inbox searchable
Once POP Peeper v4.1 is released, I'll be considering what the next major version will feature. I have a short-list of items that are necessary and others that will be considered (like this one) and will be getting more ideas about what people want to see after the release.

Re: Connection settings broken in V4?
I just performed the following test: - Changed IE to use a bad proxy server - Opened PP and checked a Hotmail account -> result: error -1000 - Changed PP settings to use "direct connection" - Checked hotmail again and it worked - Changed Internet settings back to "no proxy" - Set...

Re: Pop peeper cannot "see " outlook mail
btw, this is for server type = "Hotmail/Outlook" not IMAP, although there's really no reason why IMAP shouldn't work unless you have the settings incorrect.
Also, if you have MSN/Hotmail/Live, then you're using a very old version that's not going to work.

Assuming that "all" your accounts are Hotmail/outlook.com, see this post:

Re: Windows 10 - PopPeeper v401 Sent Mail
The problem is because of UAC -- you're trying to use a portable data folder in the "Program Files" folder. This was fine in XP, but not in anything since Vista. You have 2 choices: 1) - Exit POP Peeper -Move the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\POP Peeper\ to somewhere that isn't protected ...

Re: Activesync (EAS)
That definitely makes it more intriguing. At this point, I'm wrapping v4.1 up (it's already much later than I was hoping) and I have made no plans for the next version, or even whether it will be v4.2 or v5.0.
