Re: POP Peeper Display Desktop Alert ?
The desktop alert will always display above other windows; otherwise, it has no purpose. Short of disabling it, the only relevant thing you can change is where it pops up, ie. not in the middle of your screen. My advice is to just wait until you get a new email, move the desktop alert to the bottom-...

Re: POP Peeper Display Desktop Alert ?
sportman12 -- lakrsrool's description is accurate. The desktop alert has always appeared on top of other windows but, as he correctly pointed out, its default location is on the bottom-left of the screen. All you need to do is -- the next time that it appears -- left-click anywhere on the gray windo...

Re: Outlook.com Premium - MS's latest endeavor
It should be noted here that it doesn't sound like Microsoft is intending to make the average free-email user pay to continue using outlook.com. The service is for specific features beyond the typical free email service; e.g. "five personalized email address, an ad free inbox and improved calen...

Re: PopPeeper 4.1.1.0 doesn´t work with Windows 10
A couple of ideas to start with: 1) You may have a corrupted file. Have you tried simply re-installing POP Peeper v4.1.1? I would suggest that you re-download the file 2) It's possible that a firewall program designed to block internet activity from "unknown" programs is... having issues? ...

Re: Best method to update portable version on thumbdrive?
Not much more I can add than that. None of the installations will overwrite your settings file so there's no danger of that. In fact, you *must* overwrite your previous installation so that POP Peeper can find your settings.

Re: "Could not connect to SMTP server" yahoo.com
Ports 25 and 587 are the ports for SMTP. But if you're using peerblock, you probably don't want to open those ports up as it would defeat the purpose. btw, Yahoo has many different IP addresses for their servers, even those that serve the same function (ie. smtp). The exact server you get could depe...

Re: How can I make POP peeper work on Windows standard account?
Well, thank you for reporting it regardless -- I always want to know if something isn't working as intended in case it can be addressed. Since I wasn't able to duplicate the problem, I'm not sure what can be done. I did do some searching and I found this, which could be relevant: (don't read the art...

Re: How can I make POP peeper work on Windows standard account?
I installed Pop peeper and the icon was created by default during the installation Forewarning: don't take offense to my arguments; I just want to make sure that there's not something I'm missing so that it can be fixed if necessary. And I've been told that I like to argue :) "The icon" y...

Re: How can I make POP peeper work on Windows standard account?
Ok, I *think* I finally understand your scenario now. Installing the zip version was bad advice, because that will not create any shortcuts. To create a desktop shortcut, you do need to make sure that it's selected during the installation wizard (exe installation only) -- it's not enabled by default...

Re: 4.1.1 imap read unread state not working
Yes, IDLE is the technical term but, napouser, you make a very good point that more people are probably more familiar with the term "push." I've always thought of "push" as a more proprietary term (e.g. blackberry) which is not exactly the same as IMAP's idle, and that may explai...

Re: How can I make POP peeper work on Windows standard account?
Since it's working now, this may not be worth looking into (or maybe it is), but when you say, "I closed the program and when I wanted to open it again, it wasn`t there!" -- do you mean that it's not in the tray? There could be a couple of reasons for this: 1) Windows is hiding the icon. I...

Re: 4.1.1 imap read unread state not working
As lakrsrool pointed out to me, GMail does seem to be the secret ingredient here. I'll look into this. btw, there is an easier way to force the sync for an individual account (multiple gmail accounts may be questionable) -- just right-click on the account and select "check mail". Pressing ...

Besides what lakrsrool mentioned, also make sure that the accounts are set to use IDLE; edit each account and you'll see the IDLE checkbox on the bottom-right.

Re: How can I make POP peeper work on Windows standard account?
Unless you're using WinXP, all Windows accounts are generally "standard" accounts, but you do need to provide admin access to install POP Peeper (because programs generally install to C:\Program Files\ which requires admin access). Elevating permissions will not install POP Peeper to a dif...

Re: [lIN-USE] maildrop busy
You may be right that Yahoo is sending an incorrect error. Saying that the mailbox is "busy" could be the equivalent of Yahoo saying, "you've used too many resources / suspicious activity / error 999" which they're known to do; or maybe there's just something wrong with their POP...

Re: Updated to PP Pro by accident - How do I fix it
Assuming that you downloaded the full version which contains both POP Peeper and the Plus Pack, you don't need to do anything. Pro will expire in 30 days, but if you don't want to purchase it, you don't have to and POP Peeper will revert to the free version (the Plus Pack will continue working).

Re: 4.1.1 not update
You should use the full installation as both POP Peeper and the Plus Pack have been updated to v4.1.1 and that's the easiest method to update both of them. The email that you presumably already received via Product Request has that download option available. Also note that the filename contains the ...
