then, new gmail arrive bolded
am certain I misclicked to cause the problem

All new gmail appear in inbox as read, not bolded to indicate unread.
What setting causes this to occur?

Mail check set to 2 minutes will not check mail accounts automatically. Must manually actuate mail check.
Compared settings with laptop that does perform mail check every 2 minutes.
Same settings.
Any suggestions?

I did not interpret the option wording to relate to Select Account.

I want to reset the account to use.
The window does not popup.
Help: Select Account indicates a Reset is available.
After repeated searches for this option, I can not find the button.

When composing from a, can account automatically be shown, synch as a?
When composing from b, can account automatically be shown, synch as b?
Now, seems the account selection must be manual; otherwise, compose in b and c, account will be shown as a.
