Re: Issues with Hotmail/Outlook.com (-31 error)

The timezone issue should be fixed now, WebMail v4.0.23. Same procedure as before to update the webmail plugin. However, existing messages won't update their information after you update the plugin. You'll have to use the trick to remove messages and force PP to download them again: http://www.esums...

Re: Any benefit to using webmail over imap?

As a general rule of thumb, IMAP is always better than webmail. And this is especially true for: 1) POP Peeper v4.1: because it adds a lot of IMAP specific features and optimizations 2) Hotmail: because I've gotten tired of the constant changes they've been making lately and so the features supporte...

Re: not leaving copy on yahoo server?

You're right... and as lakrsrool mentioned, nor does Hotmail allow this; and nor does GMail. Ok, here's the rule you can create in POP Peeper's AntiJunk to move messages from yourself to the Sent folder. Please read below for some special notes about this... [Rules] From self; move to Sent_Action = ...

Re: Issues with Hotmail/Outlook.com (-31 error)

The fix for the delete issue was just released in WebMail v4.0.22; here's how to get it: 1) From PP's main menu, select Help/About 2) Make sure that both "automatically check for updates" and "auto-update webmail plugin" are enabled 3) Press "Check version" 4) It should...

Re: 4.0.1 - different versions?

That's correct, good eye. Luckily, I had written the following note to myself to remind me; otherwise, I probably would have started getting paranoid myself :)
"
The difference between v401 original is that original contains an older webmail (v4.0.5)
whereas the updated one contains .13

I've checked a couple of my Yahoo accounts without any errors. Email me (support at esumsoft dot com) so we can get further information about the problem.

Re: Mail vanished + no longer downloading for only one acct

Does POP Peeper think that the "total" number of messages is 0? ie. Do any of your existing columns in the Account List (left-side of PP) include "Total"? If not, then view that specific account (select it from the "View" dropdown box above the message list) and then re...

Re: Amazon Payments Preview Crash

Thanks for confirming.

The email samples you sent have been deleted (file and email). Just to put you at further ease, amazon does not include any sensitive information in email; although there may be "close enough" information that I can appreciate your paranoia.

Re: Issues with Hotmail/Outlook.com (-31 error)

Also -- for any/everybody -- let me know if any accounts you have still have the "bad request" which likely results in an empty mailbox (no error) in POP Peeper. This is a separate issue and appears to be a server problem that hopefully, as Dixon mentioned, they're aware of and are fixing/...

Re: Issues with Hotmail/Outlook.com (-31 error)

OK.... One of my test accounts started exhibiting this problem and the problem has now been fixed. This is for the -31 error. Fix The permanent fix is to switch your accounts to use IMAP and put up with the occasional error caused by Hotmail's IMAP servers (edit the account; change "server type...

Re: Amazon Payments Preview Crash

Ok, I have tested the sample emails you sent and I'm fairly certain that this will be fixed in POP Peeper v4.1, with a couple of conditions. 1) What I saw was not a crash. *Occasionally* the view-message would hang for about 30 seconds. If you clicked on the window, the title would get the "not...

Chris, email me using the same email address (support at esumsoft dot com) so I can get the necessary information from you. The OP's problem appears to be with his account and he found some interesting issues that maybe you can try, too, just to see if it's the same problem: - Open http://www.msn.co...

Re: Problem with opening a message link

More than likely, your default webbrowser has not configured itself correctly to be the Windows default browser. First, try simply finding the option in your webbrowser and see if it will let you reset it as the default browser. If so, do so and then test a link in PP again. There's a good chance th...

Re: gmail logins

I have a foggy recollection of thinking I may have heard of the "recent" trick... According to the official help page: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/47948?hl=en It would suggest that it only applies to POP3. Which makes sense since there is that similar option in GMail's POP3 sett...

Re: Issues with MSN Mail

Would you be willing to help troubleshoot the WebMail error you're getting in case it affects other people who are not so willing to help? I'll have you create a duplicate account so that it doesn't affect your (hopefully) working IMAP account. Send me an email (support at esumsoft dot com) and I'll...

Well, it's a big deal to me -- I no like crashes :) Are you using POP Peeper v4.0.1 or v4.1.3001 (beta/rc)? If you're not using v4.1, could you try installing that to see if the problem still occurs: http://www.esumsoft.com/pop-peeper-beta/ In any event, I would like to double-confirm (if you don't ...

Re: Issues with MSN Mail

If you check under Help / About, do you have WebMail v4.0.20.0? When you log into the account with your webbrowser, do you have the new interface -- you'll see "Outlook Mail (Preview)" on the top-left -- or the old interface? At this point, WebMail support for the new Hotmail interface is ...

Re: OOM- Out of memory ERROR

In that case, you'll need to prevent POP Peeper from loading the existing messages that are saved: 1) Open Windows Explorer to where POP Peeper saves its data. This is usually: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper\ 2) In this folder, you'll see subfolders for each of your accounts. Go into one o...

Re: How Can I Read The .db File Created For Accounts?

That would be correct. Without knowing the specifics of how the program you're using works, if it can't handle multiple files (*.eml), then I can't think of any better suggestions.

Re: How Can I Read The .db File Created For Accounts?

Well.... yes, the .db is a sqlite DB file and it's not intended to be accessed directly. By default, message data will be compressed (and in some cases, encrypted) so you won't find any links in them. The file format that PPv3 used was a proprietary .emd format; not plain-text .eml, but it's possibl...
