Re: MyRealBox ending service on June 1, 2011! :(

Question: How best should I handle this on PP so that my msgs will remain in PP after stoppage date for reference? Thanks for asking . You should prepare PP previously (sooner the better) : 1- disable "Remove Msgs not on Server" inside your account (Advanced tab) ; msgs on situation will ...

Re: OpenSSL

Tiggz , thanks a lot for the information and the links re. OpenSSL v1.0.0d = SSL 1.0.0.4 .

[ in fact I had problems to get from Box.net (ports/firewall) ; did you consider to upload here in the Forums (function : Upload Attachments) , and to state the MD5's ? ]

Re: OpenSSL

Thanks for the lwc + Styx opinions on SSL 1.0.0.3 (1.0.0c) . As a non-expert , I downloaded openssl- 1.0.0c -i386-win32.zip from indy.fulgan.com/SSL/ (the MD5's are in the file Readme) , then extracted files ssleay32.dll and libeay32.dll into PP install folder , restarted PP , performed a checkmail ...

Re: Mail.com to end free POP3 and IMAP accesses

. This is a precautionary suggestion for those who still have active in PP any Mail.com/Imap/POP3 free accounts . The objective is to prevent a total loss in the case the Server decides to clear out the DB before closing the account (i.e. before giving Login Error on PP checkmail) : 1- in PP Options...

Re: Mail.com to end free POP3 and IMAP accesses

Story , welcome to the POP Peeper Forums . I hope your data is not lost . Many of us have received the notification about the end of service for Mail.com/Imap/POP3 accounts , now giving a date (~30 days) to be effective . It is explicitly said the accounts will be cleared without alternatives . If ...

Re: OpenSSL

I am also getting error on SSL , randomly in the last month or more , always as : AppName: poppeeper.exe AppVer: 3.7.0.0 ModName: ssleay32.dll ModVer: 0.9.8.10 Offset: 00019914 It seems to happen on retrieval , and also on disconnecting Imap . As I am unable to understand/install the new SSL release...

Re: OpenSSL

. lwc 1- in these Forums someone reported a problem with SSL 0.9.8.10 , then Jeff said the bug would not affect PP operation : I just can not find those posts to consolidate in this topic . 2- what is the current situation of the SSL versions versus your tests ? 3- thanks for all the topics integrit...

Re: Yahoo mail enables free IMAP

JRF, I said I had not tested TLS and port 587. I just tested sending from POP Peeper: TLS/587 or 465 or 25 do not work. Only combo that works is SSL and port 465. Thanks again . Yes , I read that , I was just asking your opinion if the 502 would indicate TLS really not available , as I mentioned th...

Re: Yahoo mail enables free IMAP

war1 , thanks for replying . If possible , please comment about : I made a test using a dummy Yahoo account as : [imap.mail.yahoo.com SSL :993 IDLE] and [smtp.mail.yahoo.com TLS :587 Authentication] . Although there was a "Service not available(#ICR174)" for Imap , this was after it has b...

Re: Yahoo mail enables IMAP

war1 , good news , thanks for reporting .

To verify if the usual definitions for other Imap would apply here , could you please test :
Using PP 3.7 + [ input :993 + SSL ]

1- IDLE ?

2- [ output :587 + TLS + Authentication ] ?

Re: Thai language : subject ??????? instead of Thai

jamesways , thanks for reporting . Looking at the PP Languages page I see this Thai file is very old (for PP 2.4 , while you probably have PP 3.6 installed) , and the same situation for some other language files . These translations were voluntarily offered to PP ; anyway I will ask PP Support Leve...

Re: Thai language : subject ??????? instead of Thai

Yes , please go ahead and tia (last Finnish translation was for PP 2.4 on Oct 2006) .

The instructions are outlined in the PP Languages page .

Just curious , I knew your language name as Suomi , is it the same as Suomeksi ?
