Re: Time stamp is incorrect in PP when importing mail into Gmail
lakrsrool -- the importance of this occurs when you import messages from another source into another mailbox. In this case a new "Received" line is placed in the header and PP uses this timestamp (ie. "now") instead of the original timestamp, which could have been years ago. So n...

Re: All addresses wiped out....
Glad it's back to normal. I'd suggest making a backup of the poppeeper.ini file yourself so that you know where it's at to avoid future panic. Go to the main menu: Tools / Options / Storage to find the exact location of the ini file on your system. If you keep addresses in POP Peeper, there's also a...

Re: All addresses wiped out....
That sounds *very* strange; particularly, that you were asked to install it out of the blue. I'm not sure that it necessarily matters, but do you know if it was the actual installation or was it the setup wizard (the first thing the setup wizard would ask you is what language you want to use)? But, ...

Re: Peeped Messages Remain After Downloading From Servers To Client
I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but what method is your Outlook set to retrieve from the GMail account -- POP3 or IMAP? In general, POP3 is the easier method that will delete messages from the server (although, you have to change the "leave on server" setting as you know). Also, GMail ...

Most likely, "Smart HTML viewing" is kicking in. See this guide for information, including how to override:

Both of these behaviors you describe are available options, but not the default: 1) Delete: main menu: Tools / Options Select the "General" page Disable "delete mail immediately" (if you don't see it, enable "Advanced options" on the top-right and "delete mail imme...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
Glad you found it. It doesn't surprise me too much that moving the temp folder to \Windows\Temp\ would cause an issue, even if the permissions were set correctly in the previous OS. Microsoft doesn't like other programs writing anything under the "Windows" folder. If you really insist on h...

Re: messages sent to iCloud say This message has no text content.
I've been doing some searching for "This message has no text content" and this doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem. However, in most of the cases I read about, it was affecting a particular app and not via webbrowser (although, it's very possible/likely that there is shared code and may...

Re: messages sent to iCloud say This message has no text content.
I would like to test this, but is it true that you need an iDevice to get an @icloud.com email address? That seems to be the case anyway: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH2620?locale=en_US I assume that when you say, "from my Gmail account" that you mean from within POP Peeper? What method i...

Re: Outlook.com issues
I think you get that error if you haven't enabled POP3 in your Outlook account -- Outlook's POP3 requires specific permission to be used, IMAP does not. IMAP is better anyway (as long as Hotmail's IMAP server remains stable, which wasn't the case until recently), so this is just "FYI" and ...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
Re: "Try exiting PP and restarting it with Admin privileges" OK, that did serve to correct the error. Ok, so it is a privilege issue... perhaps your temporary folder requires admin privs? Again, the aforementioned instructions would have helped to know, but you can do this: 1) Open the Wi...

Re: "Navigation to the web page was canceled" error.
What would be useful: include a backup function The settings are stored in an ini file. Unless you've explicity changed the data path to include the full path, then POP Peeper will use relative paths. However, unless there's information that you have, I don't think this is relevant to the problem y...

Re: Notification Fail
Just to re-iterate what I said before, the "detect full-screen" will not affect the average window that is simply maximized. However, it is possible to run most browsers full-screen (F11) and this would be considered "full-screen" by PP. So let us know if (1) you are running fire...

Re: Running PP on portable drive
lakrsrool is correct. But I also wanted to add that when you move the data folder to your usb drive, you're also going to be affecting your existing data on your PC. So what you may want to do is -- after moving the data to your usb drive -- *COPY* the contents of the "data" folder (on you...

Re: Notification Fail
Chuck -- ok, one more "logical" possibility. By default, POP Peeper will not display any 'popup' notifications if a full-screen app is detected at the time of new email, e.g. games, videos, but also screensavers (it is *not* affected by regular windows that are maximized). This would obvio...

Re: Notification Fail
Ok, what I think we'll have to do is -- I'll make a special pp.exe that logs what's going on in this situation. I'm not sure if I'll have time to do it this weekend, but I'll try. One thing that will help to narrow down what needs to be logged -- are you using per-account sounds or single sound? Thi...

Re: What is ging on with Pop peeper?
I'm not sure what you mean. Can you provide a specific step-by-step procedure of what you *expect* to happen and what *actually* happens?
btw, POP Peeper has always only allowed you to open one message at a time. It's the "remove" messages that I'm unsure what you're asking about.
