Re: Oauth2 for POP - Gmail recent change

I have no problem with imap per se, but I don't want to see every email I've gotten since I first opened my Gmail account. Is there a way I can just see emails from a certain range of dates? If I delete old emails on Pop Peeper, will they delete from storage on Gmail?

Re: Pop Peeper and Linux

Update: this solution may not work in all Linux distros. I had success in Peppermint OS but not MX Linux.

Re: Now that MS is ending IE...

Out of curiosity, which distro are you using? I use Peppermint OS (Debian based) and run PP thru wine. Everything important works other than HTML.

Now that MS is ending IE...

In a previous exchange you mentioned that PP opens HTML with IE. Now that MS is ending IE I assume that that will change. If a different browser is used, will that allow HTML to be opened in Linux? Inquiring minds want to know....

For some reason I could not install Thunderbird with Wine.
Perhaps there was a conflict with the linux version of TB, I don't know.
It's not that big a deal. I can use PP even if I cannot see html on that computer.

Re: Pop Peeper and Linux

I will see if I can download the Windows version on one of my Windows machines (whenever I try to download TB on my linux machine, I can only get the linux version). https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/ I am also going to attempt to install IE8 on my linux machine thru wine. Even if y...

Re: Pop Peeper and Linux

Starting at the end: I have set PP to show messages as Rich Text, for now. I understand that the 5 series will no longer depend on IE. Will you give a choice which browser to link to? Or will PP have it's own html "engine"? As to your first suggestion, I have the linux version of Thunderbi...

Pop Peeper and Linux

I am running PP on Peppermint Linux, through Wine. Most of the features run as expected, except one, When I open a message and try to look at it as html, I get a get a blank page. On another thread I read that PP does html thru Internet Explorer. Since linux does not have IE, is there another way I ...

Re: Problem since Creators Update

Do you have any messages from before you installed v4.4 that were working and now don't work in v4.5? ie. do you think that there was a direct correlation between upgrading to v4.5 and the problem returning, or do you think that upgrading was just a coincidence? The problem predated 4.5, so that is...

Re: Problem since Creators Update

It's happened again. I am running 4.5 It may or may not have to do with Yahoo Mail. When I try to view Yahoo mail messages in HTML, it glitches. It does not matter if I use Pop3, IMAP, or Yahoo. This does not seem to happen with messages from other sources.

Problem since Creators Update

Since I ran the Creators Update on Win 10 I have had problems with HTML. I set the default to "Rich Text", then open HTML in messages from known sources. Since the update, opening a message in HTML and returning to the main window locks up Pop Peeper. I have to shut it down and restart it....

I am using OAuth2. I updated to 4.4.2 and web mail plugin 4.4.6 Changing to the Yahoo webmail protocol did the trick. Still get nothing when I use IMAP. Pop Peeper Yahoo problem

Starting a few days ago, my Pop Peeper (Version 4.4.1) does not display my Yahoo mail. The "new" column tells me that I have new Yahoo mail, but the mail does not show. I have the account set to "IMAP". I can retrieve my Yahoo mail at Yahoo's site but not on Pop Peeper. Is there ...

Re: Yahoo - all details showing/Basic Mail/Unsupported Browser

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Jeff - I had this problem on my netbook, but not on my PC. I could NOT figure out what the problem was. I've had PP for some time, so I did not know to check that setting. I am cooking with gas now!
