JRF, What type of connection are you using? Broadband or Dialup? Static or Dynamic IP address? I just switch to DSL, dynamic IP address, and I cannot access Gawab at all. No webmail, POP3, nor IMAP access. I had to go back to Dialup connection to write them to ask why. I am awaiting an answer. My gu...

No word about IMAP for Netscape. AIM Mail has 2000MB storage and IMAP access. AOL will get unlimited storage and has IMAP access. Netscape has 250MB and no desktop access. Netscape is the neglected child of the family.

AOL has announced that AOL email storage will go to unlimited for AOL customers later this year. Storage is now 250MB. So the Gmail effect continues. (Everyone continues to complete with Gmail large storage offering.)

I made a trial w/ AIM , and to be honest I found it slow (webmail) , not clean , tied w/ AOL , Netscape, IE , all those things
Yeah, AIM Mail is slow. But IMAP access is fast.

Jeff, Yes, IMAP actually works, but no SMTP as yet. On the AIM Mail Beta boards, Beta Josh, rep for AOL, stated that POP3 access is coming also. You can use your Netscape screen name for AIM Mail. You have to sign up for AIM Mail. Edit: I have heard that AOL IMAP does not work like other IMAP protoc...

iSnoop.net No Longer Gives Gmail Invites

Gmail invites has been so plentiful lately that spoolers have sprung up. Gmail account holders donate their invites to spooler websites. Spoolers automatically give out an invite if you provide an email address. So the invite a friend process is bypassed. Isnoop.net has been the most popular of thes...

Did you download the mail2world.lua and put it in the LUA folder? Settings look correct. The error means Freepops cannot fine the plugin. The mail2world.lua should go in the LUA folder, as Russells, the developer, did not put the necessary headers in the plugin to put it in LUA_Unofficial folder. If...

The download the mail2world.lua is broken. Use this link

http://freepops.sourceforge.net/modules ... 2world.lua

Use the config.lua in the Freepops directory, not the duplicate in the LUA directory. You can place the configuration line anywhere in the plugin. Put it before

One of the Best Free Email Services - Yahoo Mail

In spite of the recent excitement over Gmail, Yahoo Mail remains the best free email service. It is very stable, feature rich, 1 GB storage, and international accounts have free POP3/SMTP access. I mainly like Yahoo Mail for its stability. Website hardly ever goes down. The website has many features...
