Consistant error Notice

Post by Cynyster »

Is there any way to disable this notification? (see attached)
There are times I am connected to an isolated network for a time.
Basically, I disable a network adapter that has access to the internet, and enable an adapter to an isolated network for work.
I don't want to disable the checks (because I will inevitably forget to re-enable them) once I am back on the internet connection.

Is there a way I can disable the error notifications?

Thank you for your time.

You can disable POP Peeper Windows Notifications by doing the following.
Under Windows Settings select the "Notifications & Actions Settings":
Go to this in Windows Settings.png
Then scroll down to POP Peeper to disable (turn "Off") Windows Notifications for POP Peeper:
Turn off Notifications for PP in Windows.png
POP Peeper provides all of the Alerts that I personally need without Windows 10 Notifications (So I've disabled this setting myself - along with a lot of others as well -- as you can see ).

lakrsrool's method would also disable the notifications for new email, if you're using that.

Another method that should work is:
main menu: Tools / PPtweaker
Troubleshooting page
Set "number of consecutive errors to display tray error icon" to some very high value

Lakrsrool method might be better if you don't use the "windows notification" for new email, because the tray icon will still display the error icon when appropriate (in case you want that feature under normal conditions, but presumably you'd get so used to seeing it that it would become meaningless anyway), so it's your choice.
