0auth setup Script window - what goes in there?

Post by Steven0 »

Hi. I keep getting notifications from gmail that a less secure app has tried to log in to my Gmail account and been blocked. I believe it is Pop Peeper.
So I'm trying to set up 0auth in Pop Peeper and I don't know what to put in the login script window.

Could some kind soul please tell me about the script and how to set up oAuth in Pop Peeper? Thank you vy much!

Setting up Oauth2 should be pretty straight-forward, so if you're seeing something different than what I post below, please provide more info (screenshots would probably be best).

1) Edit the account in POP Peeper
2) Press the "Oauth2" button; see red-circled button in screenshot:

3) The first screen will prompt for your email address; this should be included by default. Press "Next"
(note: there's a chance that this screen will be skipped and you won't see it)

4) The next screen will prompt for your password; enter your password and press "sign in"
(note: there's a chance that this screen will be skipped and you won't see it)

5) The next screen will request permission which allows POP Peeper to access your email. Press "Allow"

6) The window will close automatically and you'll be back at the screenshot in step 1. Optionally (but recommended), you can delete your password from the "password" field as POP Peeper will no longer need it. Press OK.

That's it.
