PP Error Messages: How to view them & copy/paste into your post

Post by spc3rd »

If you are experiencing a problem with POP Peeper, it is important to provide the complete text of any error message(s) it may be giving you. The instructions below explain how to display the error message(s), and then copy/paste them into your topic post.

1. If POP Peeper is reporting an error, it will alert you by displaying a yellow-colored icon with an "!" (exclamation mark) at the lower right corner of the main interface (as shown in the image below). Click on either image to enlarge it.

2. Left-click the icon. A window will open displaying the error message(s). (See image beneath Item # 3 below).

3. Left-click the [COPY] button which places the text on your clipboard. (See image below).

4. When creating your topic post (or a reply to one), simply place your mouse cursor where you want to paste the error message text, right-click the mouse, and select "Paste". The error message text will then be shown in your post.

**CAUTION: After inserting the error message text into your post, be sure to edit/obscure any personally-identifiable info that may be displayed in it, such as, the part of your email address shown before the "@" symbol prior to clicking the [SUBMIT] button!

Important note - VPN users: if you are using a VPN, with POP Peeper, be sure to include this fact in your post! VPN use can present issues which may contribute to error messages.

If you should encounter any problems or have questions, do let us know.
