email tracking

Hello,

If I view my email through POP Peeper (instead of my email program), will it trigger any notifications to the sender that their particular email message was read? What I have in mind are email tracking programs that allegedly tell a sender when the recipient has opened the email that was sent.

Not if you view the message in plain or rich text. What you're referring to is known as "web beacons" or "web bugs" and the notification that the message has been opened is usually sent when requesting an image; POP Peeper can block images for this very reason, but displaying as plain/rich text is the absolute safest method.

You can change the settings under main menu: Tools / Options / View messages; and, here, you'll also find "Smart HTML viewing" which will allow POP Peeper to display full HTML based on whether you've whitelisted the sender or not.
