Yahoo error 1004

Post by ElectroDan »

Hello,

POP Peeper stopped working with Yahoo mail I think sometimes over the last few days. I have Pro Plus.

--- Version ---
OS: Windows 10 (x64)
POP Peeper: 4.5.2.0
Webmail: 4.5.10.0
SSL: 1.0.2.11
IMAP: 4.5.2.0
RSS: 4.5.0.0
SendMail: 4.5.2.0
Profile Picture: 4.5.0.0
AntiJunk: 4.5.0.0
Spell Checker: 4.5.0.0
Web of Trust: 4.5.0.0

--- Error ---
ACCOUNT_1 Yahoo [3: Yahoo] ['' (0) SSL: 0] [WebSend: '' (0) SSL: 0] [consec: 82]
- Error: Try again later. (-1004)

ACCOUNT_2 Yahoo [3: Yahoo] ['' (0) SSL: 0] [WebSend: '' (0) SSL: 0] [consec: 82]
- Error: Try again later. (-1004)

Anyone else affected?

Thanks!

Hi ElectroDan,

Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with Yahoo Webmail, and thanks for including the error message info.

I am not getting any errors on my own Yahoo accounts (both Webmail or IMAP) as yet, and I don't see any issues being reported at the downrightnow.com website.

This problem has been reported before (back in 2017). Until Jeff and other members of The Esumsoft Team can review your issue further, you might want to take a look at the discussion & information which was provided at that time via the topic link below:

viewtopic.php?p=34820#p34820

(Also, as is mentioned in the linked topic above, IMAP is the recommended access method to use),

Other team members should be along later and provide additional feedback for you.

Best regards.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the link. I'd not seen that before so was unaware that IMAP was the better option.

I've followed the suggested steps and is all working again.

Cheers!

Dan.
