Welcome to the forums, GOLINE.

Based on the error, the first thing that comes to mind is related to the 2 methods that your server says it supports (cram-md5 and plain) -- POP Peeper supports both of those (cram-md5 would be used first). So that's *probably* not what it's referring to.

The next thing comes to mind is that perhaps you're using a very outdated SSL plugin. You should have at least v1.0.2.11 (available here) and you can compare the version you have under the main menu: Help / About.

If you still have a problem, press the yellow '!' button on the main status bar and then press the 'copy' button; then paste the information into your reply here so that we can get a better overview of what versions of everything you have.

I followed your suggestion to update the SSL plugin but nothing has changed...
Now the installed version is 1.0.2.14 but the problem Error (authentication method is disabled." remains.
Also I tried to delete that account and reconfigure it (manually and importing from Outlook).
Is there any other advice?
Thanks

Sorry, I should have mentioned this, but we're handling this issue via email.

The issue is that the server claims to support cram-md5 when it actually doesn't. The proposed solution is to disable "secure authentication" under Edit account / Advanced 2.
