Hello Rianham and welcome to the Esumsoft Forums,

A few questions for you to get started:

1. How long have you been getting the "Timed-out" error?

2. What do you have the Polling Interval set at for the affected account?
(NOTE: For a Webmail account, the Polling Interval should be no less than 15 minutes).

3. Is there a particular reason you are using Webmail access instead of IMAP?

I note that your Webmail plugin is not the most current. You can download the current one at the following link:

https://www.esumsoft.com/products/pop-peeper/plugins/

Other members of the The Esumsoft Team will be stopping by to further review the issue you are reporting and provide additional feedback.
In the interim, as you are our newest member, we ask that you please review the following Sticky topic:

It contains important, helpful information which all members should be aware of. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to let us know.

Thank you & Welcome aboard! :D

I have been using PopPeeper for > 20yrs. (Great program) I had to re-register to post

My email is excite.com. It is only web based, It doesn't allow IMAP or POP, I have to choose the Excite.com drop down under settings.
This issue of "timeout" occurs a few times a year, and is usually due to something that bluetie (excite.com) web based email making changes, and in
the past, Emusoft has investigated and adapted poppeeper

I downloaded plugin, and changed polling to 15-mins, same issue

It does poll excite.com, and occassionaly it brings in email upon checking (intermittently)
Thanks,

Rob

I have not been getting any errors with Excite mail this morning and their servers are not reportedly down.

Are you able to login to your account on-line using an Internet browser?

Addendum: I've just tested by sending a message to my Excite account and PP successfully retrieved the message -- so I don't appear to have any issues with Excite. Make sure you are able to login on-line and report back. Login Link (I use): https://login.excite.com/

Yes,its intermittent, the last coupe of days... Working right now. Even when poppeeper getting time outs, I have been able to access email directly on excite's website. Maybe an Excite mail intermittent issue then. Thanks!

Your welcome --

The Excite servers in your area may be having random issues at this time -- should clear up eventually since you are able to get messages via the Internet and are getting intermittent success w/ PP.
