OAut certification issues

OAut certification issues

My system is XP SP3 with 3 gamil accounts.
When using OAut, pop peeper seems to use ie8 for authentication.
But IE8 no longer works with https secure sites.
Is there any way to authenticate?
Can pop peeper be configured to use firefox or chrome for connection authentication?

You cannot in POP Peeper v4, but POP Peeper v5 will allow you to authenticate with your browser of choice.

If you have POP Peeper Pro, you can download the v5 beta which has this feature:

Otherwise, you'll need to temporarily allow less secure apps in your gmail accounts:

If you edit the IMAP account and then click on the Oauth2 button you will get the dialog that provides options for alternate Browsers:
