message not listed on server

Post by hime3 »

Can not delete 2 emails showing red X in ! column detailed as: message not listed on server.
How to delete?
How emails become "stranded" in PP and not on server?
thanks

To delete the message from the PP In-box - do a right-click on the message and select "Delete" from the context menu.

The reason for a red "X" in this column could be because the email service changed the UID (Unique Identifier - that the server and client use to identify messages) for these messages. There may be other reasons for this as well - other members of the Esumsoft Team may provide additional details.

POP Peeper usually removes messages not on the server automatically, but there are 2 exceptions:
1) You've disabled that setting (edit account: "Advanced" page, "remove messages not on server" is enabled by default)
2) POP Peeper may not remove messages while you have a view-message window open; closing all view-message windows will clean up those red-X messages.
