post reply notificatons

I've been using PP for well almost 20 years now and every once in a while I post the following message hoping the the issue will one day be resolved.
When I "post" a question or message to the forum, I always select "Notify me when a reply is posted"; like this one.
Unfortunately, I never receive a notice that a someone has responded to my post. I have to log into PP in order to see and retrieve messages in response to my "Post".
I'm hoping someone can look into this and with any luck solve the issue.
