blacklisting does nothing

Post by orracle51 »

I have a couple of domains in my blacklist and they still appear in my inbox. How do I stop this from happening?

There are likely other filters that are swaying the final evaluation. If you trust your blacklist, you can increase the weight of the blacklist so that it will outweigh all the other filters:
1) Open the AntiJunk settings (main menu: Tools / AntiJunk -> Settings)
2) You need to enable "advanced settings" on the Basic page, if it's not enabled
3) On the 'General' page (which replaces "Basic"), you can change the "Default weight" for the "Black List"
The default is '1'; changing it to something like '10' should be more than enough.
4) Press OK to save

If you have an existing message that should have been affected, you can test this:
- Right-click the message in the message list and select:
AntiJunk -> Re-evaluate message

Note that if it gets evaluated as junk, it won't immediately be removed from your inbox in this case, but you should see the red diamond which indicates it's junk and, in that case, refreshing the message list (ie. double-click on the word "view" above the message list) will remove it.
