Google Labs are like addons to the Gmail interface. There are many of them. Click on Google Labs icon by Settings in your Gmail webmail account to see all the labs. (Be careful with the Labs. They are like beta addon. One can cause error in your computer.)
Recent labs are IMAP Advanced Control. When set up correctly, deleting an email in IMAP Inbox will delete the message to Trash or Deleted Items folder.
There is an Unsend Google Labs. If you click unsend within a few seconds of sending a message, Gmail will prevent the message from sending.
