Gmail deleted messages are moved to "*" label

Hi Jeff,

On *very rare* occasions, deleted Gmail messages in PP are moved to "*" label (instead of Trash).
I've never created such a label, and if I delete it it's recreated when deleting another message.

Exiting PP and restarting it - the problem is gone.
The problem does not occur if I delete the messages in the browser.

I have no idea how to reproduce it.
Today it happened for the fifth time with Beta4. It happened once with Beta3. *Never* with earlier versions.

I use IMAP. IDLE disabled.

Check for any settings you might have in Gmail "Settings" (gear icon) and take a look in the tab "Filters and Blocked Addresses" and check your filters to see if anything has been added to filter emails into that label.

Check Settings > Accounts > Change Account Settings > Other Google account settings > Security > Account Permissions. Have you given account access to any other web-sites or utilities?

What do you have enabled in Settings > POP/IMAP?

If nothing there could be creating a problem then go to the "General" tab in Gmail "Settings" and see if you have the "Conversation view on" option selected, if so try selecting "Conversation view off" to see if this helps.

lakrsrool posted a reply in-between. The filters is a good thing to check, but I assume that you know that you've deleted the suspect emails from POP Peeper? Conversation view shouldn't be a factor since this is IMAP.

- "IMAP - delete to folder" is blank.
- "Filters and Blocked Addresses": no "*" label.

- Account Permissions:
1) Stack Exchange‏.
2 ) Greasy Fork (Firefox scripts).
3) UserVoice (don't remember adding it).

I've removed the last two.
