Hi wayno,

Sorry you are experiencing the problem you've mentioned. To better assist you, please post back with the following:

1. Which email service provider are you experiencing the problem with?
(i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail/Outlook, etc).

2. How are you accessing the problematic account?
**(i.e. Server type: Gmail, IMAP, POP3, Hotmail/Outlook, etc).

**[Right-click on the account in the Account List in the PP Main Interface, select "EDIT". Click the [GENERAL] tab shown at the top left of the window which opens. Then, look at what is shown in the box beside, "Server type"].

Thank you & best regards,

The "expunge" command sent to the IMAP server tells the server to delete any messages that have been marked for delete (fyi: this is not the same as marking messages in PP for delete).

I'm not exactly sure why an expunge would fail, but I did find one case where the problem seemed to be that the quota/size limit of the mailbox was exceeded (it seems strange that *deleting* messages would cause this error, but it seemed to be the case).

What I would try doing is go into the account with your webbrowser, and delete the messages. If your mailbox is particularly full, try to delete as many messages as you can. Then, send the account a test message, use POP Peeper to retrieve it and test if deleting it works.
