How should this feature be setup

Most settings in POP Peeper are set to a certain default because it's assumed that's what the average person will want to use. If you don't like the way that a certain setting behaves, then you can change it; but every person is going to have a different preference, that's why the options are available. So to ask us how these particular settings should be setup is an unanswerable question. The settings that you have there are fine, but if, for example, you use IMAP and you find that you have to click on the banner to see most emails, then you may want to change IMAP to "Retrieve entire."
