For the past days, PP notifies me for emails as though it's set at one-minute interval
instead to whatever number I've set it to. For example, I would set at every 15 minutes but I
get notified, open PP and only three minutes have passed.
Also, is there an easier way to update the SSL?
Please, thanks.
PP's timer is defective
Re: PP's timer is defective
What "Server type" are the accounts using that retrieve messages at times that are not at the polling interval setting?
If you are using "IMAP" with IDLE/Push enabled ("Server type = "IMAP") then messages will be retrieved by POP Peeper when they reach the accounts Server because when IMAP accounts have IDLE enabled messages will get "pushed" subsequent to the various times that the messages are sent and therefore would arrive in your POP Peeper inbox at various times other than when automatic Mail Checks are done (based on the polling interval setting).
As far as updating the SSL plugin you can go here: http://www.esumsoft.com/products/pop-pe ... ugins/#SSL, click on SSL (exe) or do the same thing by going to a direct link to the web-installer: http://data.esumsoft.com/files/POPPeepe ... lugins.exe be sure to exit POP Peeper to perform the update. Looking at "Help" > "About POP Peeper..." you should see that the SSL plugin's current version is 1.0.2.11.

baconcheddar, it occurred to me perhaps a step by step procedure regarding SSL plugin update would be easier to recall (keep in mind you only need to do this if the SSL plugin is listed as needing an update, as illustrated below in the first screen-shot).
Here are the steps:
1) An update is only needed when you see the following (latest in red not matching "current"): At that time just click on the "Download..." button which will take you to the POP Peeper update page as illustrated (in part) below: As you can see SSL is listed as needing an update so simply Click on "YES" to download installer. Then by double-clicking on the installer you will get a Choose Components interface where you simply select the "SSL" plugin and click "Next" button to continue to update the SSL plugin (as illustrated below): All done, you will now see the following in "Help" > "About POP Peeper...":

Re: PP's timer is defective
Timer is now good and SSL updated, thanks!
The visuals helped, I thought it would've been a long hassle to update it.
Although I don't remember why I checked the idle/push box.
Much respect!

Doing this POP Peeper will retrieve mail as it becomes available on the Server, so you will generally get the mail quicker than waiting for when the Auto Mail Check (based on polling interval setting) gets processed.baconcheddar wrote: Although I don't remember why I checked the idle/push box.![]()
