Information missing in POP Peeper

Post by sfleury »

Hello
I use Pop Peeper for some time without problems
Yesterday, something strange appeared :
For some mails (but not for all !), I have only the account name, the time stamp and the size - Eveything else (sender, subject) is blank

I tried to open one of these mails but the content is just garbage (see attachment)

Are some files corrupted ? How could I fix it ?
Thanks for your help Have a good day

Please try the following steps:
1) open the message that is currently garbled.
2) Then select "File" > "Re-download message" from the menu.
3) Once the message loads, does the message now appear to be correct?
4) If so, then exit and restart POP Peeper and re-open that same message -- does the message remain corrected?

If so, then these steps have corrected the issue with that message. The same steps should resolve any other garbled messages as well.

Note: If you have a lot of messages that need to have this fix applied, you can select the account that has garbled messages from the view account drop-down list and remove all of the garbled messages at one time by selecting them and doing a right-click on any of the selected messages and then click on "Remove from list" from the context menu and the messages should be corrected at which time POP Peeper retrieves the messages again on the next mail check.

If doing the above does not help then please provide the following information:

What version of POP Peeper are you using (Help>About POP Peeper...)?

What account is this occurring in (i.e. Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail etc)?

Also, in the future instead of attaching a download file, we prefer that you attach a screen-shot using the forum attachments tab. Here is a sticky on how to do this: How to take a screenshot & attach/insert it into your post, thanks
