spam report sites

Hello, some remarks about the three sites used for spam report in Pop Peeper.

https://www.spamcop.net/ is considered as spam site by my webhost provider and my mail provider.
http://www.knujon.com/ will close in 2018
http://www.ftc.gov/spam/ gives a 404 error

I don’t know if there is some alternative.

Can you add an exception for spamcop.net to your providers "Content Filters" and/or add spamcop.net to your providers "Safe List"?

I think I may manage a white list entry for my webhoster. For my mail provider, the mail is automatically blocked - it’s recent. I wrote to them but had no answer.

Who is your mail provider?

Usually there is a way for a user of an Email Client to add addresses to a "safe list" (white-list)...

Thanks for the suggestion. There is not such white list (french provider free.fr) but I contacted them again more efficiently I hope.

It's interesting that you mention free.fr, but I'll get to that in a moment.

First, thanks for mentioning the unfortunate demise of knujon.com. They will be removed in the next update.

As for US FTC -- the email address for reporting spam is still valid. The next update will correct the URL, which is:
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0038-spam

And as for SpamCop -- what evidence do you have that you believe your ISP and MSP consider them a spam site? One possible explanation for this is that a spammer has used @spamcop.net for sending spam (ie. joe job), but this would show a serious flaw in their implemenation.

I would have thought that there was another explanation for what you originally said about SpamCop being reported as spam until you mentioned free.fr. I have personally had several instances where free.fr has blocked email from my mail server (and free.fr is -- to the best of my recollection -- the *only* domain that I've had issues with), so I am well experienced with this page:

The first question in the FAQ is:
Q: Are we using public RBL ?
A: No, we only use internal datas to generate our blacklist.

So if their own RBL engine has blocked spamcop.net, well, that would explain a lot...

I contacted them (free.fr) from their newsgroup and the only answer they gave to me is "validate your spam from the web interface". So they won’t change their policy with spamcop. I will ask my webhoster - they don’t give a whitelist option but they tend to be very reactive.
