All New emails going to Junk view ?

To further clarify regarding the following answers you have provided that are still not totally clear to me:

04) You "open pop peeper to see the 10th new message" (so POP Peeper was closed and you do what to open POP Peeper?)

I click on the icon in the taskbar Which says 10

What your describing "... click on the icon... which says 10" sounds like maybe you are using a Notification Skin -- if so do you know which one?

07) "which is empty" means that you do not see any messages in the POP Peeper In-box -- is this correct (Y or N)?

to clarify - the POP Peeper inbox is empty like this? and please answer the additional question below the screen-shot:

And when you get this "empty" Inbox do you have the text at the top that says "You have NO JUNK messages" like you see in this screen-shot?

What do you do exactly to "Exit"? (i.e. what do you click on?)

and if not can you either provide a screen-shot or explain in detail what it is you are clicking on? (if this is what you click on -- just to provide an FYI note: that icon is not in the Windows "Taskbar" but is rather located within the "System Tray" (that is to the right of the Taskbar). The "System Tray" [click on the link for reference] to the right of the Taskbar is another name given to the Notification Area.

When you click on the "Junk View" -- what you see in the Inbox will depend upon what you have seen previously.

It's possible to see 1) "Show all" or 2) "Show legit and unknown" or 3) "Show legit only" among many other possibilities.

I mention these 3 because it is very possible (and probably in many cases likely) that those 3 possibilities will display the same list of messages in the PP Inbox.

Here is an example:
Before I click on the "Junk View" button -- I click on the drop-down-arrow to get the drop-down list to show what it is that "Junk View" will be displaying in the Inbox:

As you can see it is "Show all". Now if I click on the "Junk View" button I will get what is selected in the drop-down. If I click on the "Junk View" button again I might get the same thing in the Inbox again. By clicking on the drop-down-arrow again I will see what the "Junk View" button is going to display the second time I click on the "Junk View" button:

As you can see will get "legit and unknown". In both cases I might likely get the same thing in the PP Inbox.

What happens each time the "Junk View" button is clicked the list of messages will toggle or switch back-and-forth between these two lists.

This might sound confusing -- so let me tell you what you need to do:

Before you Click on the Junk View use the drop-down-arrow and select "Show junk only" and then after doing that click on the "Junk View" button (w/out the drop-down). You will likely get the "empty" Inbox you have mentioned in the past. Now Click on the "Junk View" button again (not the drop-down) and see what you get -- you will probably get the messages you were getting before each time you click on the "Junk View" window. That is because this second time you clicked on the "Junk View" button you are getting something else other than "Junk only" (which was the case the first time because you selected it first in the drop-down list). You are now toggling (switching) between two different lists one of which is "Junk Only". The other list is likely one of the two top choices (ideally it will be "Show legit and unknown" - as this appears to be a default choice which in some cases "Junk View" will toggle to in any case). Remember by using the drop-down-arrow (before you click on the "Junk View" button) you can always look to see what it is that the "Junk View" button is going to toggle between each time you click on the "Junk View" button (that is what it is you will be switching back-and-forth between when clicking in the button).

If you do not change the button's drop-down-arrow selection -- you will continue to toggle (switch) back-and-forth between these two selections from now on. The "Junk View" button is designed to toggle between the last two choices selected. Once you get "Show Legit and unknown" for one of your "Junk View" clicks and "Junk only" for the other "Junk View" click -- you should have what you might expect. That is good messages and bad junk messages for each click of the "Junk View" button.

I hope this helps -- I know it may sound confusing (perhaps a video would be a good idea for users to view on this at the esumsoft website ).

I know this can clearly be confusing...

Let's go over it again. The last time you clicked on the "Junk View" each time you were getting what looked to be the same results.

To change this you need to be looking at something other than you have "Junk View" set at.

You said you did use the drop-down-arrow and selected "Show junk only" -- right?

Now that you have done that (selected "Show junk only") try doing the following (because just doing the above will have likely changed what you were getting before):
1) Click on the "Junk View" button -- what do you get? -- is it all of you messages?
2) Click on the "Junk View" button again -- what do you get? -- is it the "empty" inbox (which is "Junk Mail" except you don't have any )?

This is the way you probably want to leave it -- so you probably don't have to use the drop-down-arrow to change it any more.

To clarify -- what I was asking you to do before is to change one of the drop-down-arrow choices you had -- which you say you have now done by changing the selection to "Show junk only" (because you were previously not getting "Junk" but only non-junk or basically "Legit" messages in both cases - that is both clicks).

At that point after making that change -- repeated clicking on the "Junk View" button should toggle between messages to junk.

Now keep in mind you can always check (without changing by making a different selection) to see what the "Junk View" button is displaying by using the drop-down-arrow to see which of the selections is marked with the "." (dot). If you Click once on the "Junk View" you can check to see what is displayed for that click and when you click on the "Junk View" again you can then see what is displayed for that click. Each click should toggle between two different selections so that you get two different results (not what appears to be the same result like your were getting before).

I would say the best way to have the two "Junk View" toggles set would be to have the following:
1) One toggle (that is one click) of the "Junk View" button to be set to "Show legit and unknown".
2) The other toggle (that is another click) of the "Junk View" button to be set to "Junk only".

This is probably the most useful way to have the "Junk View" set at.

Of course if you find that for some reason when you use the "Junk View" button you are not getting what you expected (i.e. what displays does not seem right) -- you can always once again check what the "Junk View" button is set at using the drop-down-arrow and if it's not what you want then change the setting from what it is to your preference. I have sometimes found that the settings have changed to something I need to change.

Bottom line: if you are now toggling between good messages (legit) and bad messages (junk) for each time you click on the "Junk View" button then you are all set and should not make any change.

After I did "Show junk only" it is empty am now getting all my emails in my inbox here is a issue I see when new email comes in and I open popeeper the new message should have 102 messages it is 101 I have to click on junk view first then I have to close popeeper and reopen it to see the new email how come is their a fix for this ? To clarify -- so is what you are saying is that your System Tray new message notification says there is a new message (in this case you are referring to having one new message) -- but that "new" message does not display in the Inbox until you close and open PP? (what I mean my "close" is to click on the "X" in the upper right corner of the PP main window before then opening PP by double-clicking on the PP icon in the System Tray).

sportman40 -- Your "inbox" message contained 2 identical screenshots (I think it was the same screenshot posted twice), but I'm also not clear on what this list is supposed to represent (perhaps you intended to present a before and after screenshot?). I'm still not clear on the problem, so I'm going to ask for specific information:

1) When the problem occurs, after you open PP and you don't see the new message -- take a screenshot of the ENTIRE POP Peeper window (please do not snip it down to just the message list, there is other information available that would be extremely useful).

2) Then, do what you need to do to get PP to show the new message, and take another screenshot (again, the full window)

These screenshots you've posted are not sufficient to clarify the situation. We need:
- FULL screenshots of the entire POP Peeper window (not just the message list)
- BEFORE and AFTER screenshots so that we can clearly see what you're looking at when you (before) don't see the new message and what you're looking at when you (after) DO see the new message. Or is that what your "Junk view" and "inbox" screenshots are representing?
