Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
Your ini file is probably in a write-protected folder. To check this, go to:
main menu: Tools / Options / Storage
Let us know the values for:
- Ini Location
- Data path

Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
Ini location C:\Users\bonny\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper\poppeeper.ini
Data path C:\Users\bonny\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper
Data path C:\Users\bonny\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper
Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
Ok, that shouldn't be a problem, though you may want to check if the ini file is set to read-only:
1) Use File Explorer and open:
C:\Users\bonny\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper\
2) Click on and then right-click the 'poppeeper.ini' file and select Properties
3) At the bottom, make sure that "read-only" is not enabled
-> if it is enabled, then uncheck it and you should be good -- try testing it
If that doesn't work:
- Is it just your accounts that are affected or are other settings affected? For example, if you move/resize the main window and then exit and restart POP Peeper, is the window where you left it or did it revert back to the original size/location?
- What about the address book? If you add a new contact (it can just be temporary), is it still there after you exit/restart?
- Do you know of anything that may have led up to this occurring?
- What version of POP Peeper are you using (main menu: Help / About)?
1) Use File Explorer and open:
C:\Users\bonny\AppData\Roaming\POP Peeper\
2) Click on and then right-click the 'poppeeper.ini' file and select Properties

Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
When I turn on the laptop every time. All email accounts are disappeared and it says welcome to pop peeper! It doesn't save email account when i turn off the laptop every time.
Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
What if you manually exit and restart POP Peeper? For testing purposes, I don't recommend adding a significant number of accounts or configuration if you're just going to lose the data, so just add a quick account (no password) to see if it stays or not.
If the accounts/settings stick on a manual exit/restart, then there's probably something removing the data; e.g. maybe a system restore gone awry or some cleaner type of app, etc.

Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
majekho - it would be helpful if you were more forthcoming.
So is what you are saying is that after adding an account; accounts/settings are not maintained after an exit/restart of PP?
If this is the case then Jeff had posted a couple more comments:
1) Have you done a system restore recently?
2) Do you have "some cleaner type of app" installed?
Also
3) What type of security software do you have installed?
ADDENDUM: Oh and most importantly - please provide the answers to the questions that Pete (spc3rd) has posted above (that Jeff had previously asked).
(It is difficult to assist with your issue without you supplying us the information we have requested).

Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
1. All accounts are not maintained after exit and restart of PP.
2. Computer is not installed some cleaner apps.
3. The old PP is no problem.
I see all accounts in this file,

Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
The timestamps on your data files appear to be recent. There have been cases where something (possibly Windows Restore) causes the files to be restored after a system reboot, but I would think that simply exiting and restarting POP Peeper (as opposed to restarting your computer) would preserve the previous settings.
If you mean that you had the same problem with PPv4 in July and the problem resolved itself (or you fixed it), then whatever you did back then probably needs to be done again for the current version.3. The old PP is no problem.
Re: Pop Peeper Exit problem
Thank you very much for all.
I resolved this problem.

^ Really great news and congratulations! majekho
- after spending as much time as we all have on this topic -- how about letting us in on what the problem and resolution was? Doing so could possibly help out other forum members that might have similar issues arise some time.
