Re: error

Please let us know in more detail as to what you had done prior to this occurring. Without more information - it's difficult to know exactly what your intentions were in regards to what you had done leading up when you got this message. (Note: you may have found that you have been able to start POP Peeper since entering this post - why is discussed below) In any case - please post back.

If you have exited POP Peeper and are then attempting to restart it again - then wait a short time (perhaps 15-20 seconds) and try another restart again. You may need to try this a few times (depending upon circumstances). Keep in mind, when POP Peeper is actually "Exited" (that is stopping the POP Peeper process - by way of either the main menu "File">"Exit" or the PP tray icon right-click menu "Exit" - which you don't typically do that often) there can be some period of delay (during which you may get the message you got) before the process will ultimately stop - at which time you can then start POP Peeper again. (Note: Exiting POP Peeper using the methods as described above is not the same as closing the Main POP Peeper window - in which case the POP Peeper process continues to run [so that for one thing you will continue to receive email messages] as contrasted to actually doing a POP Peeper "Exit" as described which stops the POP Peeper process altogether [which is what you want to do in this case] and had presumably attempted).

If this message persists or you got this message some other way than exiting/starting POP Peeper (i.e. simply attempting to start PP) you may need to go to your Windows Task Manager and manually stop the POP Peeper process from running. (this isn't the most ideal way to stop the process - but if this message you posted remains persistent then you may have to resort to this method when absolutely necessary)

To do this in Windows Task Manager:
1) Press the "ctrl+alt+del" keys simultaneously.
2) Then select "Task Manager" from the list of options.
3) In the Task Manager you should see the POP Peeper process running (example screen-shot is what you would see using Windows 10). Note: you may need to scroll further down the list of "Background processes" to find the POP Peeper process.
4) Right-click on the POP Peeper process and select "End Task" - this will manually stop the POP Peeper process (see screen-shot below).
5) You will now be able to start POP Peeper again (without your screen-shot dialog you posted appearing).
Example screen-shot:
A Right-click on POP Peeper process line will produce a context menu in which you can then select &quot;End Task&quot; to stop the running POP Peeper process.<br />Note: a left-click on the image will enlarge the screen-shot for better viewing (the browser back-arrow will return to forum topic).
