Is there a way to have all the peeper's traffic go via Tor/proxy? Socks5 or HTTPS
Have set the proxy to 127.0.0.1:8080, and noticed that the traffic such as update checks goes via the proxy, while the email checks continue using the direct connection and not the proxy.
Pop Peeper vs. Tor
Re: Pop Peeper vs. Tor
Natively, POP Peeper only supports proxy for http/s communication. But you may be able to install a separate proxy/tunnel for other data (pop3/imap/smtp).
Re: Pop Peeper vs. Tor
It's possible to route all stuff through Tor in Thunderbird at least, like this:

Could something similar be implemented in PP?

Re: Pop Peeper vs. Tor
I have intercepted PP's traffic using some proxy software, email checks go through the local 8080 and all works fine, but it's more like a workaround that has to be done manually on each restart,
but if all traffic can successfully go via the local 8080, why isn't it possible from PP directly,
Would be really nice to have it there in the settings.

Re: Pop Peeper vs. Tor
It may be added in the future, but right now it's just not a priority, sorry. Presumably, you should be able to start the 3rd party proxy automatically at Windows startup so that once it's setup, you shouldn't have to worry about it anymore.
