How to remove the new version icon?

Post by HCsns »

Hi,
I'm running version 4.5.3, by mistake I checked for new update (I don't want to update for the moment) and now I have an icon on the status bar that say "new version available".
How do I remove that icon?
I think the setting is stored in the .ini file, but I'm not able to find it.
Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

There's a file in the "data path" (reference: Tools / Options / Storage) named 'ppinfo.txt' -- delete it. You'll need to restart PP to remove the button. Also, it's possible that you may need to exit POP Peeper before you delete the file; I don't think so, but if you want to save yourself some potential frustration, exit PP first, then delete the file, then restart PP.
