I've searched the site but i couldn't find any info about the duration of the license. For how log is it valid and for how long updates are available? Would it be possible with the same license to update from v5 to v6+ if and when they are released?

Basically, you're paying for the current version (ie. v5.x) and there will likely be an upgrade fee for the next major version (ie. v6.x). It is not a subscription, so if you buy now, you can use v5 for as long as you like, or pay the upgrade fee when v6 is released and then use v6 for as long as you like.
