Recently I have found that when I reply to a message using PP the original message is deleted from my Inbox. I am not sure that this always happens but it happens often enough to be inconvenient. I would welcome advice on how I can keep messages in my PP Inbox even after I reply to them.

It's probably not being *deleted* (ie. it still exists on the server), but it may be removed/hidden from POP Peeper's message list. Are you using either the "hide read" or "hide seen" option (look under the main "messages" menu)? Replying to a message will mark the message as read.
