Hello, has anyone else seen PopPeeper is being reported as a threat in Avast?
Avast has removed the EXE, telling me not to install the latest 5.5 version as it is a threat.
Any help would be appreciated.
See the attachment.

Re: AVAST reporting pop peeper as a threat
Assuming you downloaded the file from esumsoft.com, it's a False Positive.
1) VirusTotal.com doesn't report any problems, including from Avast:
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/35d ... ?nocache=1
2) Using Windows Sandbox, I downloaded Avast One and then downloaded POPPeeperPro-Install-v551.exe -- no problems. I ran the installer and also specifically scanned the file.
That being said, here's what I suggest you do:
- Upload your install file to https://www.virustotal.com/
--> If you're not familiar with virustotal, it's owned by Google and you can easily drag&drop the file onto their interface
- Besides the actual virus reports, compare your hash value (the long string of letters and numbers at the very top and duplicated in the box at the top) with the one in my link above (35d023...)
- If your is the same (35d023), then you should be good to install it
If possible, please report to Avast as a false positive (if there's something built into the app itself).
I have submitted a False Positive report to Avast.

Hi Jeff,
Others must have reported it as a false positive since I tried it one day later, and it was installed without problems.
The file was the correct file from your website and the same as yours.
So, I still love your product, and I am happy I could install the update![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: AVAST reporting pop peeper as a threat
It's possible that my report to Avast was processed quickly. I did not receive any response (and not sure if I was supposed to expect one). But glad that it's working now and thanks for letting me know.
