POP Peeper autoclosing/crashing

Post by MarcoCaruso »

Hi, I have been using POP Peeper since a couple years. I recently bought a new computer (Windows 11), and I have a problem since then.
POP Peeper crashes (I assume) multiple times every day. I can only suppose it, since there's no evidence about it, except the fact that POP Peeper suddenly disappears. And yes, I am totally sure that it's not me accidentally closing it.

Just as a proof: at least once, I noticed that a setting had been reverted after the crash. I had removed the Account column but it was enabled back when I started POP Peeper again.

Never had this problem with my previous installation (Windows 10). I tried to set everything just the same, but still have this issue.

What can I do to debug this issue? Is there a log file? Does anyone know about a bug like this, maybe related to Windows 11?

I'm going to email you to collect some information from you and see if we can figure out what's going on. If you do not receive an email from me, please let me know (or email me at support at esumsoft dot com).

It's more likely the change in your new computer rather than the change in OS -- I've been using Win11 for a couple years now. Random crashes can be more (or less) prevalent due to a timing issue, and a different computer could cause a crash that wouldn't otherwise occur due to a bug and hopefully we can figure what's causing it.

Dear Jeff, thank you for your help.
I am going to do all the testing on Monday when I am back at the office.
I will let you know then.
